Google Pixel 2 XL review

Google has come a long way since the days of Nexus smartphones. This is only the second iteration of the Google Pixel and it shows how much Google’s software and hardware have evolved in the past year. Both Pixel smartphones got a refined, yet simpler appearance. This review is specifically for the larger Pixel 2 XL. We’ll be reviewing the smaller Pixel 2, separately.

      Camera preserves a lot of detail and colors. Seems better than any flagship, with others catching up only in daylight stills. Only U11 is worthy opponent in all tests besides lowlight stills. Wish I could find more.

        How come the U11, which has better performance than most phones listed in your performance chart, is not mentioned? We want a comparison between the best phones available in 2017. The U11 tops phones such as S8, V30 , P10, XZ premium, yet its not listed in this review?

          Somehow Mate 10 not included in comparison. Far more compact and better looking, better stereo speakers, none of that weird idea of using oled without punchy colors and no blue and green tint while using the device from your desk, external card slot, 3.5mm jack and all that with a price tag you can save probably 400$ as the Pixel always has a horrible price tag outside of the US.

            They should have considered LG V30 body including screen. Some modifications could have been done on back like glass and metal to make it look more like last pixel. This design is pathetic and why the hell there is blue tint on screen. Doesn't anyone noticed it while developing the phone. I have seen blue tint only in sub 100$ phones. Pixel 2 will compete with Samsung and apple flagships. They should be at their best. Only camera and software won't win them any market.

                  That camera is freaking amazing.

                  I can't wait for the Pixel 2 review, that one will most likely be my choice. It sucks to go back to a smaller screen but I can live with it.

                                too many problems with this pixel XL.. not worth the price tag IMHO..

                                  Meh. It's a phone, just like the thousands others out there. There are too many phones coming from Chinese manufacturers that are doing different and cool things for half the price. This is the iPhone of the Android world, for people with more dollars than sense.

                                    Nothing exciting, even after playing with it in store.. Didn't even like look/ build quality.. Inexcusable display to boot

                                      Definitely a pointless upgrade from Pixel 2016. And that display is simply unacceptable. That's what you get with LG.

                                        So pixel is going apple route with mono audio in video and removal of 3.5mm jack
