Nova's a good move.
Better than inventing their own bad launcher.

Just because it's a Razer, I wouldn't put my money into it. My friend is already on like 10th unit of the same mouse as they keep breaking down fast... Must be a one special mouse as he wants a new one always. :D

If it had Nvidia X2 chipset that would be a more cool gaming setup. Disappointed it is not Oreo out of the box. So software updates I think will be very slow.

Razer doesn't follow full screen display is on purpose. This phone is for gaming. So if you wanna play a game, you have a finger to rest on. If they make a full screen, it would be awkward to hold for a period of time let alone play a game. And for the 120Hrz screen, this make the phone more fluid then Pixel XL. For you just relying on benchmark will not appreciate this achievement. Some software updates will iron out some of the bugs or software issues. For their first phone, i think its more than impressive.

AnonD-659932, 02 Nov 2017I honestly can't believe they dropped the headphone jack...... moreYou should know that they dropped headphone jack because the dual front speakers and bigger battery. If they put them in it, some of it gotta go. Either smaller battery or no dual speakers.

I like this phone's concept. Gaming phone concept started with Nokia N-Gage I think in 2005 or so...

Anyhow, I do hope Razer kept a wired TV-out option for the phone. Otherwise, its mostly pointless to call it a gaming phone...

Pretty sure Apple has the patent on finger scanner on power button design.
It's the reason Sony removed it for the US.

Did Razer pay Apple to use it?

From what I quote he think the audio quality of this phone will be good coz THX certified amplifier which is not true if he uses 3.5 mm HP dongle as the internal DAC/AMP won't be involved.
                  2. If the dongle is that damn good just go straight and buy it to use with any phones (FYI: even phones having 3.5mm can still use usb dongle).
                  3. If you can't afford that dongle there are dirt cheap dongles like Dragonfly black and red or Aqua in the market. They will improve all mobile phone audio by a lot.

I honestly can't believe they dropped the headphone jack...it may be the future, but as of right now wireless tech isn't nearly good enough to justify it imo. forcing everyone to use dongles like a$$ple is a mistake and sales will suffer. Nice try razer, but you will soon learn the same lessons essential is...

BTW. I not only read the survey but also participated in it. From my sarcastic reaction to GA's article you should have guessed I voted for bezels NOT bezel-less. Not in the least for the fact that my big shovels and thick sausages of fingers need something to hold that doesn't react to presses of all sorts.

It seems that handset companies think we're all asians or women with sleek tiny hands. Some of us (including me) or just big apes with hands that could splice a tree ;-)

Anonymous, 02 Nov 20172 points are pertaining to 3.5 mm Jack so I'm with you Abo... moreOops I missed that screenshot. I only read the article and in that they didn't mention variable resolutions only variable framerates.

Hopefully someone will be abble to get benchmarks (or Game tests) at the various resolutions (and framerates) to see if it actually improves Game performance.

Then my only gripe is the missing 3.5mm jack.

Nonetheless I would have rang my buddies at Valve and see if they didn't have some interesting game that could be bundled with the device to show it of. And which gamer wouldn't like a nice android compatible gamecontroller... or at least the software to use an XBox- or PS-controller.

That would have made this a true gamers smartphone.
