As 2017 draws to a close, we take a look back at the phones, which impressed us, and the ones which disappointed us. This end-of-year edition of our Editors Talk series will give you a glimpse at the love-and-hate relationship we have with smartphones and their design and features.

Many of them say iphone X is the biggest disappointment.

Glad they do not work for Phone Arena.

    GSMArena is superior to MacRumors Forums. I was banned from MR thrice now. Avoid MacRumors. I was voicing negatively about Apple and they ban from it because of their communist propaganda. I hope MacRumors dies as a "gossip" site as I hope Apple will fall in the next 10 years.

    The only editors I didn't agree with from GSMArena are pro-iPhone X users. How can you support Tim Crook and liars? They slow down your iPhone and use the battery degradation as the kill switch timer. Apple are frauds and go support their prison-like ecosystem where options don't exist. Only lies and full control.

    After the throttlegate, the iPhone X became irrelevant to me like it will to its owners in 1-2 years. The best smartphone of 2017 is between the Pixel 2 XL or Note8.
