Huawei is coming out with WAAAY too many 6 inch phones. I don't want ANY of them --
too large. Some people want other sizes. I'm surprised they don't have more offerings that are similar in size to the Galaxy S8.

The first thing I went to read is the battery life. Why do Honor phones have such low endurance ratings (atrocious video playback time especially) despite having larger batteries than most other phones?

Those tripod low-light samples are impressive, seems the software enables quite a large range to tune it up.

Honor's design was always on point,no complains there,the chipset was always powerful,it's too bad after 3 years,starting from honor 7,8 and 9 their video recording was always poor and major lost of focus and they never included good EIS.Both 1080 30 fps and 60 fps had decent color saturation and the quality was nice but that major lost of focus and less details on front of the cars was a huge bummer.I am guessing it's the same camera lens on the honor 9 only tiny bit improved with more mods.
Huawei's multi tasking and UI is always smooth in any budget or mid range or flag ship device even though it's a huge reskin over stock android and i like it.
For the price they did a great job and it looks like a toe to toe competitor with the OnePlust5T.Plus it's available everywhere.
Pros: Great powerful chipset,smooth experience,decent camera (better than xiaomi's at least) and nice design.
Cons:Video Quality not so good.Looking at Huawei honor 8 announcement i am guessing this phone will get Oreo 8.1 and possibly after a year Android 9.0 but no more than that except for their new EMUI which always will be updated. So not so many android updates.
Build quality with bend tests is kinda questionable but we will yet to see.

[deleted post]I use both Sony and Huawei/Honor devices. Dont talk trash and keep praising sony only, both devices got it pros and cons. Dont know about other china brand phones, but huawei a very very good phone. Experience it urself, stop living in a cave. I love sony's media (music player, video player, launcher,)...but to compares with huawei, better camera image processing even without OIS (examine it very details), louder speaker. Battery are pretty much the same, now this Honor V10 use AI machine learning, it got better after every usage and charging, proved in XDA forum from many users already....admin said it they not using proper retails unit, so dont make accusation. Opinion based on peoples preferences is good, but never said thrash about it because U NEVER EXPERIENCE IT.

Thumps up for you guys for bringing so much detail in the review especially the design section where most of the reviewers would have missed the different design this time- of plastic frame and metal back.

Review doesn't seem complete and not detailed enough anyways I think honor 9 is better than this or wait for honor 10

A half baked review is worse than a bad one, as it creates doubts where none should exist.
It would be better if GSMA waited to get a proper unit before doing the review. A lot of people can get misguided by an improperly done review.

The 3.5mm jack ... moreActually there is settings in settings, sound, huaweihisten....there can adjust the equalizer, maybe its turned on by default, maybe gsmarena didnt notice it because the equalizer buried in sound settings, not in music player. I'm a bit dissapointed by this review...not using proper retail product with proper test, says thing such as china finally outs its first Honor V series phone internationally. Thats wrong, there is Honor 8 pro, but known as Honor V9 in china and so on previous honor, so its not first honor v series phone comes out internationally. Low research or they dont want to care about Honor phones already.

Liked what I read in the review. Have been using Honor 8 Pro since Jul'17 and have absolutely no complaints with it.
Would love to get my hands on the new V10. Only one grouse - I like the fingerprint scanner on the back and the V10 has it on the front.
On the plus side, the V10 retains the IR Blaster and the 3.5 mm jack. Now if only they add stereo speakers to the mix, it would be an unbeatable combo.

Honor view 10 isn't good in all countries. In my country, for example, official price is 625$. Of course, it's way cheaper than 745$ that want extra greedy OnePlus for it's 5t. So Honor brand is killed itself here. For that price there are much better choices.
