Those who use the note 8 inside the jacket pocket have a problem to ear it ring. There is a basic engeneering error with the position of the mic at Note 8. Even with the volume at maximum level it's almost impossible to ear it when inside the pocket and with the mic faing done and touching the cloth. :):):):):):):):)):

Why is it that Samsung note 8 has 32GB but it's not functioning properly and if you try to put some app or anything it says no space but it shows 32GB please help me

But anyway S8 starting price was 790 which is 50 eur difference and S8 plus started at 890 which is 100 eur ifference from this year models. Anyway phone is costlier but for nothing.
I dont believe that Snapdragon 845 from previous model 835 cost 100 extra bucks.

Samsung Added 200 eur to price between brand... moreTake the internals for instance. OnePlus used same screen for OnePlus 3T and 5. And used same design and materials till 5T. What's changed from 5 and 5T? Screen and somewhat inferior second camera. There's nothing that they have completely redesigned between 5 and 5T. Hence, just a 50 euro jump. There's no 200 euro difference between launch prices of S8 and S9. Don't cook up things. In fact in some areas S9 is little cheaper than S8 at launch.

So according to android authority, S9 is priced 50(not 200) extra over S8's launch prices in EU. And according to cnet, S9 is cheaper than S8's USA launch price!

dear gsm/samsung
I have had samsung galaxy notes for a while now
galaxy note 2 now on the galaxy note 4
which is a great device
for,being otg compatible etc
how ever my contract finishes shortly and will be going
sim only contact
as I do not like the curved screen at all
my two daughters have the s7,s8
have had a play and not liking the curved screen
so I will not be upgrading for the present
unless samsung produce a standard flat screen
hope your listening samsung
the note 8 is a great device and if there was a flat screen option I would have upgraded

Samsung Added 200 eur to price between brand new S8 year ago and brand new S9 current price.
Xiaomi last year flagship Mi6 started at 400 euro and Mi7 cost 350 eur.
Mi max 2 and Mi max 3 cost around same price.
So xiaomi sells for equaly same price and when they have to increase the price they will never add 200 eur from last year model.
Even one plus cost more by 50 but thats 50 eur but not 200 extra.
Time when oneplus will cost 1000 eur will come maybe after 50 years when Samsung flagship will cost maybe 3000 or more.

This is an excellent review, please keep it up. It give a more balanced out review of the phone from its day to day use. Some of us prefer this kind of reviews to the ones filled with technical jargon we can't really translate to day to day use.

If you want the latest, then make sure you have enough amount of money on your pocket. Sure, everyone will interesting to buy any high technology smartphones with just cheap price, but where? And what about the quality of the phobrs, can you make sure you will get a quality thing with cheap price. So the balance will keep it up like that, the law of economics in which the linear curve of price and demand meets. For me, its OK to buy high specs smartphone as long as it has a reasonable price, other than that I don't.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in my country was priced in the vicinity of S7, iPhone 7 and Sony Xperia XZs/1, at the beginning. See Xiaomi is no different. As the technology advances, the price of it also increases. And guys like you keep on ranting about the greediness of these companies. If you want the latest, then you have to shell out big amount.

Who said Xiaomi doesnt do any kind of marketing? They do, not in the scale of Samsung and Apple. Creating Flash Sales and thereby generating hype is also a method of marketing.

I understand everybody needs to make profit.
But when a chicken in restaurant i means whole expenses are 2,50 eur for example i will expect 3,75eur price at most not 7,50 per portion.
I want to make a profit not to rob my customers so they will never return back because my restaurant is too expensive for them.

But still.
To be honest i can afford a phone for even a 2000 eur no problem.
Problem is when the phone cost reasonable cost and when the phone cost too much so even a hard die fans wouldnt pay for that.
And in this case phone price crossed its limits and the next Note 9 or S9 and S9+ will cross the limits.
And about the raw price dunno from where you got 307 but is less than you think.
Anyway even if the price will be 307 and selling price is 999 its 3 times more.
If the phone cost 2 times more and Samsung can still make a profit and it will sell much more devices than if the phone cost 3 times more then why dont make a higher profit by selling it cheaper.
After one year when S9 is still not our for sale you can get S8 for 500. Year ago as a brand new cost 800 eur. And Samsung still making a profit.
Everything is as i said. Samsung is a company ruled by greed.
Basic staff lives from one wages to another and Samsung CEO dont know what to do with all the money they earn.
No matter how you ook at this or at me i am right. Everythign should be balanced and equal but thats only probbably my dream which never comes true.
