Ok people just take some remedy for your skin inflame ......Sony did good job this time .. This company don't want to be a competitor for apple or damdung they are just for their fans like me and advertise some technologies on their phones for sell to others ..

eelpout, 14 Mar 2018they already made it weigh a lot at 198g, a bigger battery ... moreThen they shouldn't have made it so thick. The whole big saving factor for these lower battery capacities is because they are flagships with mite efficient SoC so they are thinner blah blah. And battery life is decent blah blah. But now is chunky and still not cheap and lacks a good 1000-3000mah too make up for it. It doesn't matter if the battery life is decent anyway. Then the device should have been a lot thinner

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2018 Except they failed and didn't need to change anything exce... morethey already made it weigh a lot at 198g, a bigger battery would have only made it heavier. I think they did pretty good with battery life this time around based on gsmarena's tests. Sony's Stamina software in general for battery handling is better than most.
it is chunky in the center though, started carrying around my old Lumia 810 to remind me what that's like. :)

Step forward, 14 Mar 2018Yep I would agree. A bit of common sense and a trained eye,... moreNope, if you really have "trained eyes" you will be able to clearly tell the difference between noise and real details, which you are right now failing to do.
XZ2: https://cdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/18/sony-xperia-xz2/camera/gsmarena_026.jpg
S9:
https://cdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/18/samsung-galaxy-s9/camera/gsmarena_021.jpg
Try reading signs of those stores, they are equally identifiable(=same amount of details)on both but S9 has less noise.
Looks like I'll stick with my Mate 10 which is obviously still far shooter than this...

eelpout, 14 Mar 2018>> Original design
yeah, I think that's the key. ... more Except they failed and didn't need to change anything except reduce bezels. Which of course were not really that bad on all their devices to begin with. Just a couple and only to people whining on the internet.
But this route? And to go that thick with such an underwhelming battery capacity to fit it...

yeah, I think that's the key. this is Sony's "design turn around" device. this is for all the reviewers and luring potential new consumers who've been whining it's time for the blockish rectangle of the last several years to end. it's also why they didn't bother changing the camera module, this is about pulling off the band-aid and getting people use to a new shape going forward.
the *next* release, with their new dual camera module, is for existing Xperia owners, as it will have actually something new to upgrade to that isn't iterative internals.
i'm OK with the ergonomic bar of soap that is the XZ2, it's growing on me, though I do prefer the look of my XZ1. but I bet the XZ2 will be more comfortable to hold. And where did all this extra weight come from, glass??
Don't care about bezels either way myself,

Tann Hauser, 14 Mar 2018Well, you are indeed wrong. In your "analysis".
Absolutely... moreYep I would agree. A bit of common sense and a trained eye, and you can spot which one is the better low-light shooter. The S9 does shot a bit more eye pleasing stills, however they are not better quality wise, they are even worse than XZ2's on same ISO values.
It can't be properly seen here since the pictures are not equally zoomed in, because of XZ2's higher resolution.
This is indeed a great low-light shooter as it is, considering the inferior specs.

AnonD-27765, 14 Mar 2018Same screen to body ratio as the S7 edge. This phone still ... moreI think your opinion is the most outdated thing about this here phone.

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2018Pretty sure there are going to be shared on FB with it's aw... moreOr install and use Instgrm on Xperia...same overprocessed results, just perfect for social media...
But then again, why would I want Instgrm preinstalled as my main camera app?
Any midrange phone can have Instgrm. Why pay so much, when the app with same kind of photo overprocessing...is free?

Really?
"The Xperia XZ1 comes with a bigger battery than the Xperia XZ1. Still, we couldn't shake off the FEEELING they could have fitted an even bigger one."
"...new octa-core processor with new Kryo 385 cores. The PAIR of high-performance Kryo 385 Gold cores...PAIR of power-efficient Kryo 385 Silver cores" Quad or Octa?
I'll edit for $100/hr :)
