What's the point of pixel peeping? Both click good pics for social media and that's what world wants. No point in arguing that see this pixel is more visible on device x than device y. Besides people want warmer color reproduction. Sammy gives them, for Sony you go manual for that..

Same screen to body ratio as the S7 edge. This phone still looks dated compared to Samsung's 2-year old flagship. Sony really don't know how to design nice phones. There are so many things wrong with this phone from the looks, to thickness, to old and outdated user interface to lack of exciting features.

I'd rather get the XZ1. This is a shame, given how Sony's original Xperia X1 with the keyboard was probably one of the best phones ever made. Sony has strayed so far away from what made it great. I might be skipping out on flagships this year too. The glass sandwich and missing headphone jacks don't seem to be worth the price.

Absolutely minimum luminance noise and sharpening artifacts in XZ2 shots.
All there is more noise, and with it more detail, less white bleed, and more texture preservation...clearly seen for ex, by better preserved texture of walls or trees, or details of those snails, on both shots of that building.
XZ2 seems to be a superb lowlight shooter.

What you're seeing as "details" is mixture of luminance noise caused by high ISO setting, and something called "sharpening artifacts" which occurs when an excessive amount of sharpening is applied to an image. Also you should expect to see even fuzzier details in XZ2's photos in real life situations since it does not come with OIS unlike S9, which ensures blur-free images even with slow-shutter like 1/4s.

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2018Low light shots are worse than galaxy note 4, let alone S9 ... moreBest camera on earth? Have you ever seen a real camera? I mean a one that is not a phone. Like Canon and other companies. No phone has a great camera. Sony hasn't announced their "true" flagship yet (probably not) as it's quite disappointing that the new Xperias have EIS and not OIS. And I'm not the biggest fan of the design. Looks generic in front and the back looks bland with a touch of HTC.
