Let me get this straight: there are people who hate the notch and prefer to have empty wasted space instead of a screen in that area, right?............

Sorry, That 40MP pictures on anything than bright light looks like water color painting, even those "10MP" ones. (Reminds me of 2012)
If they had to do 40MP, They should've done it properly. (Like the pureview Nokia's, with >1.4um pixels)
I think Samsung (and Google to large extent) have made the sensible choice this round.

Is that an lg oled on the porshe edition, it's 2k would be a first for third party manufacturer if it's samsung panel? Good that they improved the camera on the regular version too. It would be a cop out if they just used the mate camera. The zoom looks really really good.

AnonD-743635, 28 Mar 2018Not only the 40MP photos doesn't appear to have any Noise R... moreIndeed! Somehow, I find the 40MP thingy is merely a gimmick. TBH, I think just the P20 regular cameras will be good enough. No need to go with the Pro version at all. From the sample shots in the articles, I find the P20 photos are better.

Shui8, 28 Mar 2018Lol not removed actually, just hide it via software. Looks ... moreI dunno. But I feel like we are being cheated as a consumer because of the stupid notch. I mean, we paid for the phone but in the end, we can't use the entire screen and now applying black areas to make the notch less prominent.

voltaire9, 28 Mar 2018So at the end of the day,are you buying a camera or a tel... moreTruthfully, a camera.
I can get a functional telephone for very little money.
When I can considering spending modern flagship prices for a phone, the camera really really matters.
In the past I would not consider buying a Huawei. But I will be looking with interest at the reviews for these phones.

AnonD-122899, 28 Mar 2018The notch is a physical hardware. How can it be removed via s/w? Lol not removed actually, just hide it via software. Looks pretty nice, makes the front camera looks like under display.

Wow,that Mate RS beast is simply the best thing in the market now...no competition in sight.
Fabulous design...I just wonder,if Huawei takes away that bottom lettering and that "P" logo at the back, maybe the price might be under 1000euro...,but then P20Pro should be 100-200 euros cheaper...
I guess we`ll have to wait for the new Mate series...with all the goodies from P20Pro...
