Nokia 7 plus review

20 April 2018
Running out of single-digit numbers in its ever-growing portfolio, the reborn Nokia has started adding words - the high-end Nokia 8 Sirocco is worthy of an iconic moniker from the past, while simpler phones only get a 'plus', with a lowercase 'p' at that! But the Nokia 7 plus isn't looking half-bad - capital 'P' material at least.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2018So I'm supposed to sacrifice everything and buy a phone wit... moreLier. The U11+ was released in November 2017, it is only 6 months old model. The snapdragon 835 of the U11 + was released at the same time than the SD660, Q2 2017: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qualcomm_Snapdragon_systems-on-chip
And is a flagship phone better than this Nokia 7 Plus.

The SD660 isn't new so if you base your opinion on that this Nokia 7 Plus is a phone of Q2 2017...
I am amazed to see the liars and blind people who become the fans of a brand trying to sell an overrated and overpriced product.

The Honor View 10 has better image processing than this Nokia 7 Plus, costing the same with better processor. The issue is that for only 20 euros more, you have a Huawei Mate 10 that is much better than this Nokia phone, for 40 more than this 7 plus, you already find the S8 and even a Zenfone 4 Pro is better with the same price.

Use a search web like kimovil of phones available in your zone.

Companies prefer to discontinue old products than sell them cheaper.
Midrange phones have worse price/featured meaning companies make higher profits from them compared to selling older flagships at cheaper prices.

If you can live without Oreo, a headphone jack and the latest Qualcomm premium mid-range chip, consider the HTC U11 Eyes. You'd get a better quality rear camera with OIS, a slightly larger battery, a slightly lower price on eBay and overall much better aesthetics (fact, non-arguable). I'm not sold on this ceramic "metal" back. Looks, and probably feels, like the plastic back of the 2012 HTC One X.

Why do companies build midrange phones if people could buy last years flagship or low end if people could buy 2 year old flagship? Why dont they release a flagship every year and be done with it?

In my opinion, benefits of a powerful chipset outweight the energy efficiency of a weaker chipset. Batteries degrade anywhere over the time. After 6 months, the drain gets fast and capacity goes down too. But a powerful chipset remains powerful.

I have seen Sony phones, they are all about camera and power management. Their touch sucks and are overpriced too

Mainly because it is missing some 4G LTE bands which many carriers in Europe use. However, if the missing bands aren't an issue, then Mi 6 is definitely a good choice too

Unless you live in the west there's no reason to buy this when you can just get the mi 6 for cheaper, and with the remaining money you have you can get wireless earphones (I didn't get any cause usb c audio through the adapter is fine and no I didn't miss the headphone jack)

[deleted post]Yes, i actually wanted to point this out, and the fact that is more a bashview then review. Highly unprofessional, stupid comparisons and biased. This type of reviews are typical for the ones who wold prais an iphone even if it would have had a hole in the midlle of the screen, but would complain abou other devices if they would have a camera hump.
