Android P public beta first-look review

11 May 2018
Just in case you missed it, Google held its annual developer's conference earlier this week. It was jam-packed with interesting announcements, most notably, the announcement of the first public beta of Android P. We wanted to take a quick look what Android P feels like so we went ahead and registered a couple of devices for beta access. We spent quite a bit of time playing around with the two phones looking for the new features that Google promised us.

Is this the final UI? Ghastly. So much white yet again.

Stock Android will never find its way to my pockets as long as it looks this ugly. And no, using launchers is like putting makeup on a pig.

This is a disaster. So many downgrades, especially in design.
I mean, Google had to change the design slightly in every iteration so that it always feels new. But the problem is that the Material Design was so good in Lollipop already that almost every change brought afterwards was a downgrade. And now we are looking at a slightly less ugly iOS.

Is it possible to keep using virtual buttons and app drawer?
If I wanted an iphone, I would buy 8+ instead of X. Just to avoid these gesture stuff.
      Annoying also ugly.
