Well windows was a good plan in phones and failed.
IOS were a good plan but over the time it brings more confusions and problems that it ever had. Just to mention slowdown of older devices via IOS.
Now we have andrid P over Oreo Nougat etc.
And there is also Android one.
Dont know what to expect but hope for the best.

You know, the end shot of the video bugs the hell out of me. 3 people sitting next to each other and no sense of communication - just staring blankly at screens.

Fayth, 12 May 2018why just removing the recent button, should've remove the b... moreLol... then in next 5 years all they'll be doing is removing most needed features of Android....only to re-invent them in the next version of the OS

People bashed touchwiz during the S4 and S5 era. This looks exactly like that touchwiz, minus many features, and people are going to praise it. Google fanboys eh...

Google is losing the plot. They're turning glorious Android into pathetic iOS.
I guess It's about time someone comes up with a new mobile OS. We'll need it.

Not looking good at all, and the 2 swipes to app drawer is ridiculous.

As usual, more of the same. Everytime i do an update to a phone, i always have issues with it, from reduced battery life to performance or stability and that's why i have simply disabled updates on my current dailly driver. Those alleged improvements i never see them. And since manufacturers want to sell a new flagship every 6 months, dont espect for new features to be added with an update.

Bunch of useless features or features that are not really thought out, some fixes that probably make some more problems that will need to be fixed in next version, and nothing real and important about performances and optimizing system so finally it will not be biggest power hog on phone, because right now most of power on our devices go to run system it self...

On the whole it looks like an improvement, but having to swipe up twice to get to the app drawer is a backwards step? First you had the app drawer icon - that's one press to get to your destination. Then it switched to a swipe up which is okay, still one gesture. This new one is two swipes to get to the app drawer which is weird. Glad Google are giving you the option to stick with the current format.
"Also, we want to stress that the classic navigation style is still available as an option, both in AOSP, as well as for any third-party ROM and UI developers to use at will."

why just removing the recent button, should've remove the back button too
and in next iteration, remove the volume button. next 2 year the power button should be gone

Quick Toggle is one of my favorite features on an android phone since Android Kit Kat. And now it's made really ugly and amateurish looking.Really disappointed.Everything seems very discomforting to watch. I like a mature/high tech looking android not some cute, circle looking pure stock android feeling.
Settings menu looks like the menu from some cheap launcher downloaded from Play Store. The colors look childish and cheerful.

Wait....
If other phones will get Android P next year, don't tell me they're gonna follow this interface! It's an iPhone X rip off!!!

Great, but it still a first beta, so something is still missing
I like the gesture control and the option to use the standard android navigation button
The new volume indicator is a must have, i mean with phone screen getting taller, it make sense to have it on the side rather than all the way at the top
And the wellness package seem great
