Whats so different about this phone? why so much hype? It looks just like another notch clown. Spec wise, it is almost identical to LG G7 and is heavier too. Only advantage should be its price...

Intercentrino, 17 May 2018Let me ask, why most of you guys hate notched phones so muc... more1. Because the notch style is identical with iphone X notch
    2. Even if you able to hide the notch, it won't be symmetry as the top bezel will become bigger then bottom bezel...Huawei P20/P20 Pro on the other hand have bigger bezel at the bottom so when you hide the notch it become symmetry as both bezel (top and bottom) will be the same size...

great, no VERIZON support!!! They say it has most bans but 13 isn't avail and that's one that VZW relies heavily on. WTF?! Such disappoint. Now what phone should I get? I was hoping for a flagship that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg and all my kids wisdom teeth extractions.

Plankies, 17 May 2018Wow what a waste. Look at Nokia x6 specs at third of price ... moreWhat? The x6 looks like it has specs of a 3 year old phone, of course it is a 3rd of them price.
        The x6 is
        -thicker
        -smaller
        -smaller screen
        -worse camera
-Snapdragon 636(lol?) vs Snapdragon 845 cpu
-Adreno 509 vs Adreno 630 gpu
        -6 vs 8gb ram
        -lower camera specs
        -smaller battery

...I don't see a single category, but price obviously, where the nokia wins. Obviously it is cheaper, its a budget users phone. Maybe compare the op6 to s9+.

Wow what a waste. Look at Nokia x6 specs at third of price to this trash flagship. OP6 is the start of the end for them. Was looking for new flagship phone to upgrade, and i have not found it with OP6.

Buxz777 , 17 May 2018Their hardware is some of the best on the market.... 10 bit... moreIt's more the reliability and quality control of their hardware. It often does seem well made initially, but LG has trends of hardware issues that span years and multiple sets of devices, which is too much to brush off as just occasional mistakes. A good example is their screens; there's been consistent reports of heavy image retention on their LCDs in the last few years (I've seen this myself on the V10), and their P-OLED screens have been problematic from the start. Seeing such problems on devices with flagship prices is bound to damage people's trust in their products, especially when the problems get repeated.

1+ 6,,lack of 2k resolution and its expensive. Lg g7 has better options and its better than 1+ 6,
Add more options to 1+6T for a reasonable price.
This is not the phone 1+ buyers expected

Buxz777 , 17 May 2018Their hardware is some of the best on the market.... 10 bit... moreJust like Samsung, LG is excellent on hardware build quality. Software? Totally trash to be honest. Even security updates! They are struggling on releasing all of their devices because of bootlooping issues, changes, bugs, and more!

                      Hi there, Notch!
Let's see if you are eligible in the budget category. Xiaomi Black Shark is the cheapest smartphone powering the Snapdragon 845. So, it's a tough battle for OnePlus this time.

Zack, 16 May 2018I don't trust LG, their hardware quality is questionable.Their hardware is some of the best on the market.... 10 bit sensors in the main camera which was a first in mobile history.... Good optical image stabilisation... Good screens... Great audio hardware.... Fast charging.... Good batteries.... Good signal... Solid military standard build.... Waterproof design with headphone jack and sd slot... Great microphones for recording audio... Awesome speaker in the G7... An actual real fm radio that doesn't need the Internet to work

How can you say lg hardware is bad? That's just a ridiculous statement

The LG G7 comes with project treble support so I'd expect updates to be quicker

The camera on my lgv30 is pretty solid even with the small sensors so I expect the same from the LG G7 as sd that wide angle camera is handy as hell.... No other phone features it

You obviously haven't tried an LG phone in the last couple of years

Got to be the best all round devices at the most reasonable prices

Let me ask, why most of you guys hate notched phones so much if you can simply hide notch in the display settings? It gives you pleasantly rectangular-ish (not counting rounded corners) work space and all the status icons above it. Imo looks dope on AMOLED displays.
