Huawei P20 Lite review

25 May 2018
The lite series used to be the new minis, but then people voted against the compact phones sharing nothing with the headliner but the name. So, today the latest Huawei P20 Lite isn't just a fancy name bearer - it has what it takes to be worthy of the P20 branding - the notched screen, the glass design with gradient paint, a dual-camera on the back, Face Unlock as well.

I really don't understand why a solid device like the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is never considered in this site. Besides, at least it is better than the Redmi Note 5 Pro...

For just 20-30 euro more you can get... P10 that is just better than this.

Or for the same price if not cheaper you can get P9, maybe its 2year old, maybe it dont have notch, but you get better performances, there is oreo update coming, you get better camera.

Phones like those are not bought by moders who tweak them all the time, but by normal people who want just a working phone, and P10 and even P9 is just better than P20 lite, that beside "notch-modern look" dont have anything in it beside medicore performances.

Those of you who says overpriced, outdated, avoid P-lite, well you 'll just stay bitter, we don't care coz we're loving huawei phones and you can't stop us from buying what we want.

The battery life on emui 8, always improving by its AI configuration day by day usage, thus will improved battery endurance significantly after a few weeks.

But Kirin 659 is a old chipset for a mid ranger phone already, better add up money a bit and buy the new Honor 10 instead, thats a performance-per-value phone as of today.

€300 for this outdated yesteryear engine.
I don't know what's the purpose of this device existance.

Huawei's P Lite series are always overpriced. Avoid them.

Dante Evans, 25 May 2018Hey, i have just a couple of cuestions, when all of you tak... moreThe night photos are taking in the very center of Sofia, Bulgaria, near the Serdika metro station.

Great that the Redmi Note 5 Pro made it into the list of alternatives (also the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a worthy alternative too).
But this P20 Lite is mostly comparable to my Redmi 5 Plus.
Kirin 659 is about on par with SnapDragon 625, but the 5 Plus is way cheaper.
Sure it lacks in camera department, but for almost $50 price difference, it's very hard not to ignore this phone.

Disappointed on the battery and chipset used.

Thing is, Kirin 659 is really old now and as such the battery performance is really not close to current modern midrangers . I suppose this is fine at sub 200 price points but at the P20 Lite asking price ? Nahh

Also the chassis is plastic. Not metal. It's pretty obvious if you just look at it.

It doesn't have the npu so how can the night mode possibly work like the p20....

Hey, i have just a couple of cuestions, when all of you take those photos for the reviews where they were taken?, i mean in wich country or countries?
