Oppo Realme 1 review

The 2018 budget smartphone scene is an unforgiving battlefield. It's a place not too many manufacturers are willing to go to and Oppo, for sure, hasn't gone down so low on the price scale up so far. The Realme 1 is Oppo's first device in a brand new ultra-budget line and it's nothing short of a loud and flamboyant show of power. Potentially even a declaration of war.

                    They might be selling at cost with no profit. But how many units? No one knows.. atleast xiaomi sells in hundreds of thousands we know. And on amazon oppo is marketing tge 6gb variant of realme 1. Which is at inr 14k . So they are making profit out of the 6gb variant. The 3gb variant is only for show i guess

                        MG7, 28 May 2018oppo f7 with similar battery, larger screen and same chipse... moreSometimes inferior components paired with same good SOC can give average battery compared to oppo f7 which has higher grade components which are more efficient and better optimized by oppo, realme 1 is an experimental device at best to make budget buyers talk about thier brand for future sales , some of these realme customers might end up buying higher range oppo phones in futures slowly making them brand loyal, it is all psychology and marketing behavior combined.

                              I found it strange that when u r testing the 6GB 128GB version which costs $200 u were comparing it to Redmi Note 5 Plus instead of Note 5 Pro. U said in the performance section that Note 5 Pro costs twice as much but in truth 4GB/64GB version of Note 5 Pro is $220 so it's only fair game to comapre that to the version u tested.

                                  On a more serious note,

                                  Oppo's ability to offer a Helio P60 at this price point should give Xiaomi also the capability to offer at least a SnapDragon 636 for a slightly higher price tag with their Redmi 5 Plus.
