Last year the Xiaomi Mi A1 was a star in our reviews, the conclusion page in particular. We could recommend the Mi A1 as an alternative to literally every smartphone - from the cheapest droids, to the most expensive top dogs. But its reign is over as the maker is launching not one but two sequels - brace yourselves for the invasion of the Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite.

    Need to decide what you need, a better camera ? a better processor ? and quick charge to compensate for the battery. If u need top of the specs, be ready to shell out top price too

      Does Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite have Google Camera 2 API?
      This is probably the most missed thing on Mi A1.

Some OEMs are doing nice job indeed. If they keep UI fast, and fulfill the update promise of minimum two gens, no point in using stock.

          Fulljack, 25 Jul 2018that's stupid. nokia 7 plus also in android one program but... more3.5 mm jack, yes, but battery is 3800 mAh, which is not large, IMHO. In addition, hybrid dual SIM slot is like single SIM slot plus microSD, which is of no use to people using dual SIM (then you cannot use microSD). One more thing, using Android One and using stock Android are different.

                Its SD660 should outperforms Helio P60 on the Realme 1. Sounds weird that the Mi A2 lost to the 'marketing gimmick' INR11,000 Realme 1 on the performance sector. Hopefully the pure Android approach would help its somewhat mediocre performance

                  Mi A2 Battery Capacity is meh. Nokia 7 Plus looks like a much better deal compared to Mi A2.

                    Redmi Note 5 Ai dual camera is a much better phone than these.
                    Only thing worse is that ugly MIUI.

                      It is somewhat strange to bash cheap phone from being cheap.

                        These Xiaomi guys will never learn to keep up with the trend. Why notch when you have huge chin and thick side bezels.?
                        Look at the back, the ugly plastic and metal combo screams cheap at you.

If this phone had expandable storage, 4k mAh battery and a headphone jack, that is a death sentence for RN5 pro especially since this comes with stock Android. They intentionally crippled what would be a prefect budget phone
