Android 9 Pie review

08 August 2018
Android 9 is officially here and we would be remiss not to mention our slight disappointment at the Pie moniker. Don't get us wrong, pie sounds perfectly mouth-watering and playful, but perhaps just a bit too plain for an Android name? Considering the track record, that is. Also, not using the π symbol, just seems like a massive missed opportunity.

Verdict - as USUAL, no tangible improvements neither on performance nor on battery life and zero new features and you wonder why i don't update my phones. Never better, but usually some problems in terms of stabillity creep in. Those advertised improvements with every new android version are never to be seen.

battery isn't improving much, new UI is not that good. still rock on Android 8, and wont update.

Real fun... so many people still waiting for Oreo :-D

Gesture navigation is like Nokia N9 or Jolla had in the old days

At least android is evolving ..battery life is so important for daily driver..as we can see the battery testing is not that good, android 8 is more effiecient but we can't conclude since this is a beta build..let's hope it will be more effiecient in the near future. A Classic UI for this time

Nah no Android Pie for me.. I'm waiting for Android Z in 2028; Android Zabaglione

You forgot to write about the "Easter Egg". It was the Octopus in Oreo. What is it on Pie?
