Sony Xperia XZ3 review

13 September 2018
Few phones can claim they caused quite as big of a stir as the Xperia XZ3. After Sony dropped its first curved OLED Xperia, seemingly out of the blue at IFA 2018, reactions have ranged from overwhelming excitement, through confusion and all the way to denial and anger. That's a level of drama typically reserved for soap operas or celebrity gossip and it all spells out one thing - a massive wave of exposure for Sony.

Ther aren't more than a dozen of handsets which goes beyond the 80 percent mark without a notch.

Gan, 14 Sep 2018This product echoes that I want be like samsung s9 plus ...... moreIt's because their previous strategy of being unique has also failed on them.
It was rather hated for a lot of reasons, and I feel like there's nothing that Sony could do to change that.
I mean, what's the point of making the best smartphone in the world when it's being sold to brainwashed people by advertisements of other brands?

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2018No s9 only hace 370 nits un manual And phone arena he has a... moreI mean the best brightness that the screen could pull out.
The XZ3 didn't have any brightness boost in Auto mode, while S9 did, and managed at up to pass 600 nits at best.
Still, it is very impressive for the XZ3 to have a sunlight legibility score that's as good as Samsung's latest competing flagship, considering this is a comparison of Sony's first OLED smartphone to Samsung's 9th generation Super AMOLED smartphone.
If the XZ3 had more than 400 nits, it could've been as good as the iPhone X, since that screen was the brightest OLED screen on a smartphone at almost 800 nits.

But (there is always that) as to accuse someone to make things up for something that over 90% of population does not know, because Sony themself does not provide enough information to their customers (like Samsung and Apple do) is a bit too much.
Are you trying to say that this phone has more features than Note9? Because only if it does - then I am making stuff up.

If you don't believe that, check out the benchmarks again, there's no throttling. They were the first to add custom cooling back with the Snapdragon 810 generation (which was an overheating mess). They were one of the few makers that generation to not have major heat problems because of it, and they've continued adding custom cooling for each generation since then, primarily using the screen shield plate as a massive heatsink. Check out teardowns to see for yourself. Making stuff up is not cool.
