Huawei Mate 20 Pro review

We love fall and it's not only for the beauty of nature's colorful cloak. It is also the season for all the big fat makers in the industry to pull the wraps off their latest smartphones. And what a blast these couple of weeks have been! And there is still plenty more to see before the month of Techtober is over but today we're focusing on the new Mate 20 series, which is bound to leave a mark on the industry.

    This only goes to show this pathetic company is all bark and no bite. But i guess it's expected from a desperate company that can't even get into the american market.

      Lol this phone is a joke. Huawei boasts of a "large" battery and yet this gimmick has a shorter battery life than its predecessor. So much for 7nm power efficiency. Not worth a penny over $450.

          I think this Mate 20 is impressive. I owned Mate 10 & P20 Pro and what i can say that both are great. Except that the casing for these phones are hard to find in Malaysia, if you compare with iPhones or Galaxy S or Note. 😅

                  What's going on with P20 Pro? In original review color reproduction was very good, but in comparison it always fails. Looks like Huawei made P20 Pro camera to work worse with updates to make Mate 20 Pro to look better.

Capturing multiple frames and not adding digital noise is way better than relying on hw to do the job(as certain premium phone does).
                    Hi res was always good in daylight, with only low light scenarios needing less resolution. So can be done for hdr(as sony using full resolution), so sw was always most important factor for great output(thats how apple survived on 1/3" sensor).

                          As expected, the Mate 20 Pro is spectacular all around & arguably the best smartphone of 2018. The few cons it have are arbitrary & nothing to worry about.

                          9/10 (or as GSMArena puts it, 4.5/5)! :D

                            No one's gonna talk about the ugly EMUI? I just can't stand it.

                              Hope you put there 40mp samples too gsma, its how most people will shoot in daylight and how is the camera presented (as 40Mp) anyway. Do not forget 40mp monochrome should come out without that pattern on building not destroyed, as even 20mp was better.

                                  These new flagship phones are different from previous years. Screen resolution are getting higher evwn though the ppi are still the same because of the huge screen nowadays.....

However you're just missing the fact that it's the standby drain that has been causing the rating to go down (it's what differs the battery testing procedure between GSMA and the ones you found on youtube).

AI will learn your usage pattern and after a few weeks of use, i can bet it can easily last for 2-3 days, just like previous Mate 10 & P20 pro.

                                      Just for your information, Galaxy S8 lab test shows 84h of score. In real life? Ask any user in this review, it cant even last a day. Reality.

                                        It is available in Malaysia, and yesterday I go have a check at the Huawei store, goddamn serious amoled display, the superb camera, and the price of RM3599 (~750euro). In Asia, mate 20 pro will be a good choice for everyone
