Huawei Mate 20 Pro review

We love fall and it's not only for the beauty of nature's colorful cloak. It is also the season for all the big fat makers in the industry to pull the wraps off their latest smartphones. And what a blast these couple of weeks have been! And there is still plenty more to see before the month of Techtober is over but today we're focusing on the new Mate 20 series, which is bound to leave a mark on the industry.

Just find out the sensor is bigger than any smartphone camera out there, it's like a compact camera or older mirrorless camera quality

    But it is a powerhouse, just one with average standby. 90 hours means nearly four days with 3 hours usage per day, but obviously you can get one or two days if you double that.       There many other reviews out there proves that Mate 20 pro is a real powerhouse.

      Dont know what happens in this site lab test. Pretty much the same goes for previous Mate 10 pro & P20 pro 4000mah battery, easily can stand for 1.5 - 2 days of usage. Galaxy S8 lab test got 84h here, but we all know in reality, it doesnt even last a day.

              The lack of microSD card support kills it for me. With most hybrid SIM+SIM/microSD trays, I can use all 3 with a simple cheap adaptor.

                  YouTube videos are just not realistic.
                  The best measure for autonomy are Consumer report's tests, and geekbench battery benchmark.

                    Walter C. Dornez, 29 Oct 20182 questions. Samsung phones have DACs? What's an ISP? Yes. EVERY phone has. just not of the same quality. Some, Like LG. pair together 4 of these. hence the marketing name "Quad DAC". and some use with a certain BIT rate and frequency. like Samsung's 32 bit/384kHz. a DAC is responsible for the sounds of the phone. listening to music, gaming effects. etc. and basically means DIGITAL AUDIO CORE. as it takes care of the audio files.
                    and ISP means Image Sensor Processor. It takes care of the camera's capabilities. how much post-processing there will be... Bokeh effects, video capabilities. OIS and EIS utilisation and so on.
                    a chipset does not consist ONLY of CPU, GPU and RAM. inside that tiny chip there are nearly 60 different components.

                              Not even professional cameras go almost noiseless with that high ISO.

                              Even if you select GOOG LIGHTING session, the 40 MP is brutally defeated by Sony and Google.

                                Just seen those 40mp beauties in photo tool, no magenta cast anymore, Noiseless, and so much detail, definitely more than p20pro or xz3. Losing to xz3 with 1/8 shutter vs. 1/25 in mate20pro so take a guess why.
                                Video is blurry, but if its about photo, its perfect. Should work best in daylight-lowlight 40mp, hdr/night 10mp, stars 40mp, fireworks 10mp,...
                                Just so you know, its quite noiseless even at 100.000iso and thats how auto mode should out pictures anyway, now that rumors about ridiculously high dxo rating seems more real.

                                      The review should have been peer reviewed. How can the battery test result show improved performance over mate 10 pro in video, web browsing and calls and yet have big decrease in endurance performance compared to mate 10 pro? Endurance test is after all a combination of calls, video and browsing.

                                      There is no evidence demonstrated to attribute this to standby performance and even if that was the case this would be obvious flaw in the software that needs to be highlighted to Huawei for fixing the pre release software and cannot be considered a valid test result.
