If you can live with Poco's built-in adware, then it is a worthy option.

Been using this incredible phone for 3 years. Great flat screen for an IPS display, solid rear camera, most importantly outstanding battery life. Video shots and selfies could be better, but they are not the priority tools used in my daily life.
With that being said, I think it's time for an upgrade. I was wondering what are some noteworthy alternatives to Mate 20 from the current smartphone market (2021 or upcoming 2022). It's difficult to see a smartphone have this much value nowadays (IR Blaster, which is very useful; headphone jack; even FM Radio which I sometimes listen to).
Currently considering the new Pixel 6 non-pro (I don't see the need to pay extra for the extra features of the Pixel 6 Pro), although Google phones seem to have poor battery life, which I may end up regret buying.
Samsung phones are also great, which arguably have the best video capability among android phones. Was looking forward to the release of the highly rumored S21 FE or the new Note (21?), but looks like they won't be coming anytime soon. Guess I will have to settle for an S21+ for Samsung.

Best smartphone I've ever had. I use it professionally as Community Manager and it delivers everytime.

To this day, this is the only flagship-grade Huawei smartphones to have FM Radio support. Couple that to EMUI Desktop Mode (aka Easy Projection), and I can see a viable contender for Samsung DeX and also Microsoft Continuum.

I've been using Mate20 since April 2019 and i have not yet encountered all the problems that is mention by other user.. Im happy with mate 20, and have been a huawei user for 5 yrs.. If you are going to depend on the comments on every phone, then you cannot buy a phone, because you will always find fault in each model, brand, and this and that, and you will end up buying NOTHING.. You need not compare, because you will always end being disappointed.. Dont be affected by the comments, just buy what you think will make you happy while using it and forget if there are bad comments. Because you will end up comparing.. I think you cannot find a perfect phone, you just have to enjoy and love what have decided to buy.. Happy mate20 user here..

Can someone confirm if this Mate 20 really has protection on its front and back glass? This reviewer said "a sheet of Gorilla Glass protects the whole thing.", but product official description never mention about any protection. I don't want to put a screen protector on it because that affects viewing experience, unless it's necessary.

Can be had for for about 400 Euro on Amazon.de at the moment.. black, blue and twilight 4/128gb west european version :) Thats a pretty good deal
