Huawei Mate 20 review

Huawei Mate 20 or Huawei Mate 20 Pro? That's one very reasonable dilemma, but you don't have much of a choice, do you? If you are lucky to live in one of the few markets where both phones are available, then you can save some cash by getting the regular Mate 20. But it is one peculiar trade-off with some odd gains and losses. Let's find out if that's a deal worth making.

Which one to get, Mate 20 or Mi 9?? I can't decide...like the Mate 20's microsd slot, ip54, fm radio...but other reviewers say Mi 9's video and sd855

    Yes it is a good phone that I had 10 days ago it has 3,5mm jack, I am happy with my mate20

      excellent phone. i love it.best ips lcd i`ve ever seen.

          I bought me the Mate 20 after reading this review. For me the most important was the ability to use the 3,5mm jackfor my car audio system. Man, wat a waste of money the phone has proven to be. Very disappointing volume. Even my cars amplifier (BMW E90) cannot get a decent volume out of the speakers. Won't be using the phone for a long time and miss my old HTC One M8 that worked like a charm.

P9 ha proven itself sturdy and reliable and the photos are still great. I tried the Xiaomi Mi8 for a week but I couldn't get used to the UI. Mate 20 looks good and it has a 3,5 headphone jack and a minimal notch. But last week I started looking into Honor View 20 and now it's harder to decide!

                  Galaxy Note 10, 22 Jan 2019The loudspeaker is coming through the USB port which is not... moreThis is vanilla Mate 20, not the Pro version. Vanilla Mate 20 speaker got separate own speaker instead of the inside usb c speaker on the Pro version.

                  Nevertheless, the speaker quality is not good, not bad either, just average. Previous Mate 9 & Mate 10 got way better quality & loudness level.

I have Mate 20 Pro. I can confirm this. Though it is not like it is bad, but certainly could be better. Otherwise, this mobile is easily the best next to Note 9 across OSs.

                          I currently have a p9. And its fantastic. The 12mp main and 12mp mono take great photos.
                          im looking at upgrading to to either the m20 pro or the m20.
                          both seem good. The m20 has a wider screen which I like. But the m20 pro seems better outright.
                          Now I hear of the m20 x and am confused as to which may to go.
                          especially with 5g on its way.

                            Once enabled the performance mode does unlock the full potential, but all safety measures are still in place. And they better be, as the Mate gets hot fast, even before AnTuTu has finished its run, and then...it throttles. And when throttling occurs, you are no longer in full speed.

                                I do get OIS on the Mate 10 Pro and an AMOLED display. What do you guys recommend?

                                        You guys forgot one glaring issue for me. You can't install google lens for the mate 20.
