The Honor Magic 2 is one of several recent handsets that mark the return of the slider - bringing back a level of tactile interaction almost forgotten in these times of incessant tapping and swiping.

I get it that you hate how Sony defeated Huawei in this aspect, but you don't have to be so bitter about it

I admit Huawei phones are selling better than Sony, but you never heard me call you toxic for saying it, for a fact that it's a fact

        Wow, what a garbage set of cameras it has. So almost exactly the specification as Honor 10 for the back camera(plus wide angle lens), but the actual lens quality is completely trash! It's not even comparable to Honor 10 in this regard, probably Huawei used some low quality leftover of Honor 10's camera module for this phone because they knew that nobody would buy an expensive flagship with cool but useless experimental features on it. The rest of the phone is ok at best, but the build quality and durability remain highly questionable. Frankly speaking I wouldn't buy it even if it was sold for half the price.

          Like monochrome sensor can be completely useless in general low light situations if implemented poorly? At least Huawei's solution (especially in Mate 10 series) worked well in all lighting situations and monochrome sensor was being used for lossless zooming and dynamic range enhancement as well. The effect was relatively subtle because of the small sensor size, but implementation wise it was great.

            Huawei phones are built on compromise. Never getting a compromised phone, except for using as a paperweight.

                  I really wanted to get this, in fact, I was saving up for it, but not having the headphone jack and the micro SD card were 2 features I really need a phone to have so I will just move on and just get the V40.

                            Pros
                            -It's a slider, how cool is that?
                            -Excellent battery life, 1-hour fast charging.
                            -All-round good display.
                            -Superb monochrome camera.
                            -Type-C USB
                            -EMUI in general

                            Cons
                            -Generally unimpressive image quality.
                            -Meh video quality, no electronic stabilization.
                            -No 3.5mm jack as STANDARD (PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE)
                            -No microsd slot as STANDARD (PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE)
                            -RELIABILITY of the slider overtime.
                            -Some people may feel the slider is gimmicky.

                              Huh?? What are you talking about?? I do hope it is just a typo error by the editor. There is NO 3.5mm jack on this phone as STANDARD!! PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE at it's best from Huawei.

                              There is more than enough space for that, Huawei. Why are you not including it as a CHOICE?? For PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE??

                                Nice phone for the price but I wont mind paying a bit more for slightly better camera and if rumored price of View 20 is true its better to wait and see what that Quad bayer camera can do

                                  Seems pretty decent. The battery endurance is impressive. Design & SoC are top-notch (yet without a notch). The camera is underwhelming, but not terrible. Not a bad purchase if you're interested in a slider phone in 2018. You literally have 3-4 options in this form-factor at the moment.

                                    Sorry, but Sony has shown to us how to use such setup properly; something Huawei has never been able to do for all the years that they're using it.
                                    Now give them a similar camera setup on the Mate 20 Pro and it'll be a world of difference again, and one that would absolutely become the best smartphone camera in recent years.

                                      only problem that i have with HM2 is that i can't find it in my local store.

                                        mi mix 3 is much better, bootloader unlockable for FREE, a better fingerprint scanner, better camera and more cheaper !!!
