ALWAYS BIASED
===============
The one thing I can never get my head around is why GSMARENA is sooo biased. As if Nokia and SE are the only manufacturers out there...
I find that the KU990 (Viewty) has much better performance to offer, and the SHARP models (3.2Mpx) 903SH and 904SH had a CCD that still kicks butt after two years. And they all are GSM as well...
Oh, and what about the i-mobile 902? No one ever considers it in their reviews, but with a 5Mpx SONY(!) CCD it has crisper details than NOKIA could ever dream of.
Good grief, you guys MUST get paid by the big 4's if you continue on like this...

As others have mentioned the review is blatantly wrong about GPS compatibilty with 3rd party offerings. Smartcom GPS, Google Maps, Amaze, Route 66, and Co-Pilot all work with the internal GPS and no doubt there are a few others that also will that I am unaware of.

So is this one going to work? I ask only for information.
The original Nokia N95 (Nokia N95-1) was a pile of garbage. The device was unstable, oversized and frankly ugly when compared with offerings from Samsung, Motorola and LG. Functionality was wide ranging, but the GPS software's over-reliance on mobile internet services was unacceptable and the fact that the CCD for the camera was a 2.6MP unit with only software enhancements to make the images 5MP was appalling when you consider the price. The poor plastic materials are a REAL shame when compared with so-called budget models such as the 6300 or the 6500 Slide, which have a metallic construction and so as handsets give a reassuring feel of quality not seen in an 'N' series handset since the N70.
The N95 8GB has a hell of a lot to live up to, because other recent N series handsets have just let the side down in a BIG way.

The review says this:
"In other words: if you want to make use of the built-in receiver you have to rely on Nokia maps. In case you want to go for another software solution you will have to purchase an external Bluetooth GPS receiver."
Well that ain't true. Nokia is a b?+ch and they want you to think that you can use only their software. I live in Croatia, and the only GPS software you can buy in croatia for N95 is GARMIN GPS SOFTWARE! Nokia maps do not support Croatia.

Can't wait for the N95-4, which I'm assuming to the N95 8 GB North American 3G.
I thought it was really cute to have all the adds for the iPhone on almost every page of the review..... to bad the G1 iPhone is obsolete in comparison to the N95 8GB. However to no completely shoot down the iPhone, the touchscreen interface is superior to all other on the market, but I'm fine with buttons.

Very good review. Keep it up. But i would like to point some issues although i haven't checked myself.
1)I read that N95 8GB hasn't much bright screen. But u reviewed excellent.
2)I also read lot about the camera quality and many other web site's
review say that camera quality of k850 is better than n95.But u say that this is the best camera in the market, auto macro mode is missing....
Rest of all the things are superb as far as i know....

the smudging (from compression or noise reduction) on the photos is horrible. what's the point in having 5MP if the photos are just going to have the level of detail reduced?
looks amazing other than that though.

"So, if you have an original N95 and some of its flaws are really getting on you, look no further - N95 8GB is the cure"
do u think people will spend 1k on the first phone and than buy a same phone for another 1k?
