I actually like the design of this Xperia. No notch or mechanical pop-up camera to talk, just a simple bezel to house the camera and the audio, and it looks great. Plus, the addition of proper telephoto camera definitely making this a rather compelling prospect.

After reading verdict and I use sony phone and I know their software tuning better then other. This phone is not bad as people think sony make phone as per normal people usage because this phone can run pubg and asphalt like game easily they just give better quality phone that's why their phone is costlier then Chinese brands. But if you properly compare it with same price of samsung phone you will understand that this give you better value for money. Samsung just advertise more

Despite Sony is the dominant manaufacturer of phones camera sensor, it never make its own phone camera superior than the other. Sony might be good at making camera sensors but they never know how to use it.

So I guess this phone is a midranger targeted at those interested in this aspect ratio media content and creation, coupled with hi res sound reproduction capability.
SoC and battery(although not bad) is a miss here, but if its not an imperative for gaming or heavy multitasking, it ll be quite sufficient for daily use.
Anyways, I think last years XA2 was a better overall offer (though it had some sound recording issue, I hope they fixed it with an update or sth)

Also, why dont they ever do the HDR low light photos for Xperias, but just daylight ones?
And those lowlights here arent bad at all for a midranger, I ve seen better, and I ve seen worse midranger phone lowlights.
But we only got a typical Arena comment.... "lowlights are barely usable..."
This midranger has good lowlight detail, well controlled noise, but lacks better dynamic range... so why not shoot some lowlights with HDR on also?

So far they are the only offering and that's what they are banking on. Will it payoff? No one knows. But internal specs is something people are not concerned about when buying 350 dollar phone cause they are not enthusiasts like us. My friend's mom just got A7 cause of two things: she heard of Samsung as quality phones and its big and gold ie nice looking. That's about it.

The verdict for this review is almost word for word what I said when I saw the specs and the asking price for this phone. Sony you messed up big time... again and you seem to have no capability to learn from any of your mistakes.
