Sony Xperia 10 review

22 March 2019
Sony's newly revamped smartphone lineup revolves around the digit 1 - there's the flagship Xperia 1 that's not quite ready for prime time and the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus in the midrange, the two very much in stores as we speak. We had a closer look at the 10 Plus recently, and now it's the smaller 10's turn.

Jens, 22 Mar 2019How can you call 155.7mm tall compact? Ridiculous They did mention it's narrower than all it's rivals and the height is either the same or shorter. So it's compact in comparison to them, not on it's own

As a Sony fan, I can't hide my disappointment with Sony. They used to put their own older large sensor (1/2.3") cameras on mid-rangers after they had had their prime time on the flagships (e.g. the 23 MP 25mm cam on the X, XA, etc). Now they use generic, small sensor stuff. And the processor is very disappointing. Heck, probably the Xperia X still has better performance and a better camera :|

With 2019 range Xperias, Sony is dead for me. I ve been a Sony fan since i owned Xperia L, Back in 2013.
But no more. Their phones are expensive and at best mediocres.
This phone, with those specifications, doesnt worth even 150 dollars.
It, s long, poor battery, very poor perfomance for 2019, very poor camera and in my country it costs now almost 400 euro.
It's garbage, i am so dissapointed with Sony

How can you call 155.7mm tall compact? Ridiculous

Sony & Samsung have never really impressed with their mid-rangers. So this isn't a surprise.

They both have launched some really good flagships though, so looking forward to the Xperia 1 review. I have a feeling it will be a good phone overall. The major concern is battery life, but optimization could play a key role there.

                    1. Overpriced (thanks to Sony tax)
                    2. Below average battery backup
                    3. 2017 chipset in 2019
                    4. Poor performance, worse than XA2
no wonder the phone got such a low score.
Now Sony fans will make a huge cry that GSMA favours Samsung, Huawei and Motorola.
