Stooop it. Such a huge phone and no jack? There is no reason to buy this. 6inch is more than enough. And bring back audio jack!

Mr. Electronics, 24 Apr 2019Wait so how does that green dimple help with the main cameras? The green dot reminds me of Sony Ericsson. Remember the dot which acts as a mirror in K750?

Reno 10x zoom is quite impressive the pictures are pretty good and I'm liking the colors and details in the photos. Night mode is as good as the P30 pro. Wish it had wireless charging and headphone jack but Oppo could make a wireless charging case for the Reno 10x to remedy that.

Photos are not looking great IMO, obviously not on par with P30 pro with similar camera settings.

Am I the only one who likes the lowlight (@ night) photos of the Reno? Like, they look way more natural/ look more real than the ones on the P30, even without the night mode

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2019The 5mm aperture diameter of the Reno periscope camera mean... moreYour light gathering figured are completely off. The difference between f3 and f3.5 is miniscule at best. Also the sensor on the P30 pro is a monster. It has way better low light capabilities and the new CFA (colour filter array), improves low light further. Though it introducing colour smearing and inaccurate sky colours often.

Looking at the Oppo Reno pics, I am certain that they can improve by way of a firmware update. The details are crisp and the colours are good. Dynamic range needs a slight improvement. The Night Mode photos are actually quote impressive.

I'll safe those €800 for something that worth it. The money is too valuable to throw in things that have no local guarantee and must be sent to repair, pay additional insurance, etc. Instead of buying something with good food and if something unexpected happens, you walk to the nearest store and they exchange it for a new one. In these conditions it is worth spending the €800 not in Oppo.

P30 Pro Lite, but it's Oppo. Kudos to those guys for these notchless phone solutions, and for cheap too. As a dimension-conscious user, I'd note that this is a little bigger than P30 Pro but not too big in today's standards

Some notable pros to me (compared to P30 Pro):
-The storage is *actually* expandable, looking at you Nano Memory
-Stereo speakers, possibly their way to make up for the jack-lack
                  -4K 60FPS (?)
                  -SDM855, cuz gaming

                  Cons:
                  -No IP rating obviously
                  -Slightly smaller battery
                  -Slower fast-charging speed
-No wireless, reverse wireless charging nor IR blaster

Overall, looks like a cross between Mi 9, S10+ and P30 Pro lmao

Huawei is killing the camera game

I'm already excited for it, but the day that it gets released, I might be on a vacation for a week, so another wait for me again lol

Whackcar, 24 Apr 2019The camera performance is decent, but can't compete with th... moreThe price is 200 less than the P30 Pro in some markets and 500 and others. It truly is a value proposition compared to the P30 Pro, which does have a better camera, but does seem to lack some things. In all honesty, you can't go wrong with either.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2019Same issue with XZ2 Premium. They are still doing the Bion... moreI imagine the supply for 4K HDR 21:9 OLEDs for smartphones is scarce, and they haven't produced enough panels to sustain the market demand (even though they don't really sell that many units, especially not now that they've closed their stores in many regions).
I can't blame their BIONZ algorithms because unlike the XZ2 Premium, the 1 doesn't do image fusion or anything, so if it's something related to camera, then I assume that the Alpha team is taking their time to ensure that the software processing on this new phone will work very well.

Comparing provided camera samples Oppo needs to work on JPEG processing. More chroma noise, processing of JPEG over all to match or even beat P30 PRO. For me Color OS seems to be even more far away from stock than EMUI. Stereo speakers are nice. There is definitively potential here, if Oppo can turn down Color OS and enhance JPEG processing Oppo Reno 10X is worthy P30 PRO contender.

Are these photos 12 or 48MP?

Because if they are 12, they should look much better for a lower resolution photo.

We will see with the full review, but it would be nice to have a flagship that does not rely too heavily on post process contrast and sharpness like huawei does (implying only my tastes of course!)
The green dot is not really nice looking.

actually to me camera performance look better on the oppo reno 10x compared to the p30 pro which is 1000eur not 550 as the reno 10x
                                      interesting isnt it
