Sony Xperia 1 review

Sony has completely revamped its Xperia series yet again, and this year the common denominator is the cinematic screen. Every new Xperia smartphone gets a 21:9 panel for the most immersive viewing experience, but the Xperia 1 is special. It is the Xperia Premium reborn, with a large 6.5" OLED 4K HDR display and today we'll get to know it better.

Few cons are ridiculous

1) nobody puts AF for UWA , it was never con before
2) 79h like s10 , with 4K all the time is not bad.
3) all physical FPS are faster than in-screen

      Are you sure your Xperia 1 photo in Comparison Tool is not out of focus?
      Take a look at this https://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=4&idPhone1=9543&idPhone2=9591&idPhone3=9166
      Xperia 10 Plus is sharper by a long shot while XZ2 Premium is just tad bit softer but still in focus,

        4.6¿¿¿¿ higher than the Galaxy series, i am having terrible chills in my body.

              That's a heck of a high rating for a phone that falls very short on the battery life and doesn't do very well with the headphones hooked up. So what GSM is saying is that Display and camera pretty much determine everything in a phone now?

              Look, not hating on Sony deapite their refusal to putting in a bigger battery or headphone jack, but I feel that this review was leaning towards wanting to give them the best rating despite pretty major shortcomings.

                  What's with the sudden shift of tone? I thought the Xperia 1 scored similar results compared to LG G8 in battery life but you only claim it's "not good" in the X1 but dependable on the G8 (despite the obvious advantage in the G8's battery size and less power hungry screen)? Not to mention that it is also a con in the X1 but not on the G8.

                    Killed by the awful battery life.

                      - Awful battery life;
                      - Unsatisfying fingerprint experience;
                      - Lack of content for that "21:9 4K HDR AF" display;

                      > "black version is probably somewhat boring"
                      - Stop saying that stupid things! Smartphones are not made to have "not boring" colors of cases! Any decoration should be optional!

                      > "as the Xperia 1 tries to upscale its resolution and dynamic range"
                      - To hell with it!

                      > "The Xperia 1 isn't that perfect, of course, but no phone is."
                      - But every phone should be.

                            Good rewiew! counting the days to enjoy the reference OLED

                              I lived to see the day. A positive review.
                              Still lacking HDR lowlight photo samples...
