Objectively the s10 is simply factually ahead in almost every where. And that's where it's measurable objectively.

    If Samsung does choose to implement aptxhd then that will be my next phone

            1+ went in wrong direction, they think they can compete with best players.... they became too greedy too early :)

              slow season?. I'm still waiting for the next honor note . hopefully something like the nova 5 pro but 6.9 inches.

              nevertheless, the galaxy 10 is the winner and the best smartphone anyway. the best value and all-rounder. There's no contest.

                OP7Pro is a tier-2 phone. Can't understand why would anyone spend 800$ but not 1000$ to get a premium device. OP was fine in 300-500$ territory, not 600-800$ one.

                  Update for 7pro.

                  System:

                  Optimized the touchscreen sensitivity of the display;

                  Optimized manual brightness adjustment during video playback;

                  Update of Android security patches in June 2019;

                  Bug fixes and general improvements;

                  Phone:

                  Improved audio quality;

                  Camera:

                  Improvement of the general contrast and color performance;

                  Improved triple-camera white balance;

                  Better accuracy and stability of audio focus;

                  Improved contrast and color saturation of the wide-angle camera;

                  Enhance sharpness and reduce noise in low light conditions for the wide-angle camera;

                  Improve sharpness and noise reduction for telephoto;

                  Improve sharpness and color in Nightscape mode;

                  Improve brightness and sharpness in low light in Nightscape mode;

                  Solved the problem of greenish tone in case of poor lighting;

                  Fixed the noise problem with HDR;

                          Anonymous, 05 Jul 2019Brand prestige? When did samsung become prestigious they se... moreBrand recognition and prestige in mobile phones is something that is built over the years through cutting edge and pioneering technologies in flagship products as well as through long term reputation of reliable and consistent good quality and perceived premium value, as evidenced by a premium price ABOVE most of the competition, despite which, a huge customer base will still happily pay for. It has nothing to do with selling low end products of the same brand. Just because you can buy an entry level Samsung phone for a very low price doesn't mean the brand name 'Samsung' does not have any prestige. Try selling a Oneplus 7 Pro at the price of the S10+ and see how the sales of Oneplus crumble. That's called Samsung's branding image and prestige. You can't build that image overnight even if you are as powerful and as big a company as Google. That's why Google's expensive Pixel phones keep on getting dumped. The Pixel phones have to earn that brand image and prestige by starting at an appealing price. Starting at a very high price despite being relatively new to the market is not the way to do it. Google should do it the way Huawei is doing it, and which Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are following. Start very cheap with excellent specs and super value for the money, and once you get the customer's attention and loyalty and gain a following, slowly build the image of prestige through pioneering, cutting edge technologies while also slowly increasing the phone price with careful assessment of how the market reacts. If the market share decreases, then there is a need to re-asses if the price increase was too aggressive or if there was enough advertising or pioneering or cutting edge technology that makes the customer willing to pay for the higher price. Doing a shortcut like what Oneplus is doing, (raising prices too fast, too soon without assessment of the market reaction and without offering pioneering technology) always ends up in disaster. That's why Google is outing a cheaper Pixel 3a. But still, the price is too high for a relative phone brand 'newcomer' and doesn't stand a chance with the competition from Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo. Google and Oneplus should have been done it the way Huawei built a name for itself through the years. Gradual price increases and pioneering technologies while assessing market share and what the competition offers. Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are copying Huawei's strategy. Huawei would have overtaken Samsung in the prestige ladder in a few more years if not for the Trump ban. Samsung needs to come up with something new to stay on top. Same with Apple which is in dire waters. The iPhone 11 better have something pioneering in the camera department or it will be a continuing market slide/decline that will become more and more difficult to control with each unimpressive release.

                                  Samsung S10+ wins. It massacres the Oneplus 7 Pro in everything from useful features (bigger battery, micro sd, headphone jack, wireless charging, waterproofing, FM radio, etc.) to camera quality and brand prestige. The only thing the Oneplus wins is the price and for that exorbitant price for a crippled Google Pixel like phone experience, (devoid of micro sd expansion, headphone jack, etc.), I wouldn't waste any money on such phone garbage. I always consider phones without micro sd expansion and headphone jacks as planned obsolescence engineered devices with 1-2 year lifespan at most. My advice? Save up for the S10+ and just bite the bullet or better yet, get the Asus Zenfone 6 for so much better features and similar processor power for so much less.
