One of the best handheld console/smartphone design is that of the xperia play, which is not only pocketable but was also phone replaceble.
Its came with analog keys inside the slide with a precision touchpad.
Another forgotten feature on the modern gaming devices is infra red blaster, i know it may sound retro but hey you never know its a gaming device so why not switch on/off your TV, airconditioner on the go..

Serious gamers won't like the 700 series.

However, you will have a slight drop in battery life (carry a PowerBank?), but a large drop in portability (not pocketable, but if using a backpack then not a big deal).
Me?
I want the gaming experience of a console, but I want the whole thing pocketable and replace my phone. There are NO products on the market that achieve that, the closest was the problematic PSP Go from a decade ago which was pocketable but not a phone-replacer (PSP/PS Vita/DS Lite/3DS/Switch/JXD/MoQi/GPD XD/GPD Win2/etc etc) the rest have not been pocketable.

I am not sure I would buy this, but I am amazed that people can play games with touchscreen controls -the most lackluster and infuriating experience for gaming ever.

U could only put SD 712 in it ? Atleast a SD 730 G(binned chip) version would've been nice

It's interesting but I doubt it'll become popular. A quality, ergonomic bluetooth gamepad/controller on a flagship gaming phone will give you just as good, if not better mobile gaming experience

The comments above really do need to reevaluate what they are looking at. To see another Android phone/console hybrid is actually a breath of fresh air. Seeing how the last time I checked the last phone that came remotely close to this was the JXD s5800. And they stopped making them I was lucky to get one of the last few that were on sale. I enjoyed it and granted it was a relic by today's standards but it was the best phone and gaming console I had. I was also heartbroken when it broke on my while I was working on my cousin's car because I wouldn't have anyway to get it fixed or buy a new one . The closest thing I could do is to buy the tablet version which yeah it's okay but it's big and bulky can't exactly carry my gaming my music and you know make phone calls on unless I'm in a Wi-Fi areas. So when I saw the MOQI I7S I was so excited to see another company has picked up the flame. And then I saw the comments on it after a really good spec sheet for this phone. Yes I understand that the cam might not be up to your standards or the chipset isn't the best but to kick it when it's in the early stages is like putting it in the ground before it has time to become something more. So I will say this as a tech Hunter and a old school gamer don't knock it out because we may not ever see something like this again

A dedicated Android gaming device with a Snapdragon 710 ?!?!? What a joke. Other gaming phones have at least a Snapdragon 845

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2019Man if you truly think a freaking Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita ... moreI have hope that you aren't trolling, but want actual good experience when it comes to mobile gaming. In that context, you can have more quality (or more fun), on the mainstream consoles. As three other people that have already replied to you, pointing to the difference between Quality and Quantity.
But in the interest of civil discourse, please do note in my original comment I wrote "used". You can find the Old Nintendo DS Lite, 3DS, Vita at private/garage sales for very cheap. And you can get battery replacements cheap too. The Nintendo Switch is still fairly new, but in the last 3 months they've been popping up for sale all over, and Nintendo themselves have reduced the price. So even that's not farfetched.
With that said, it is possible to get a BETTER experience on an Android device. Besides the countless emulators, flash games, and now decent Android Apps... you can get a better experience because its more likely/easier to have a wireless connection. So there's possibilities of Online Multiplayer or Community Chat, not to forget things like VR/AR/and 360' videos. And paying more upfront for the better hardware, you might be able to get one with a better processor, screen, speakers, controls, and other things too.
The thing with the mobile console sphere is that a standalone phone doesn't cut it. Sure, an iPhone is much better than an Android phone (or Lumia) in this regard, but even better is a hacked Android device with physical hardware. But the majority of competitors are at the same level as this. The only two devices that were made as dedicated mobile consoles, where you notice the attention to detail is the Original Nvidia Shield Handheld (where it was released alongside the PS Vita) and the GPD Win 2 (but its stupidly expensive to buy).
Hence, why my suggestion in my previous comment is the best idea. Have a flagship device that is great at everything (think Samsung S10+ tier), but design it with a mobile console in-mind. We got pretty close to this with the likes of the ASUS RoG Phone/Nubia RedMagic 3, and the BlackShark GamePad 2.0

Why on earth would you buy such a trash device when you can get a poco f1 for cheaper that does more things and better.
Android games aren't even optimized for hardware buttons anyway.

They are asking for too much.
200 maybe 250 max would be acceptable.
But 400 $ ? Just wait for sale in few months, i doubt they will sell many units at current price.

This is an interesting device.
But you could do the same thing while saving a lot of money with an old psp, or psp go , or even ps vita. Just jailbreak them and enjoy. Excellent hardware, a ton of games.
