Not to mention, getting Software Updates, for reasons unknown, now demands a premium price. This wouldn't have been a problem if the device wasn't lacking in features.

So you could argue about getting say a Lenovo Z6 Pro this year for 400 Euros. Then next year selling it for 200 Euros, then getting a Lenovo Z7 Pro for 400 Euros. Totalling 600 Euros. Instead of getting the OnePlus 7 this year for an equal 600 Euros, and waiting for Software Updates. It's likely the next year the Lenovo is going to have the better hardware.

Now the above is simply a hypothetical, you could insert whatever device you want in those fields depending on your needs and budget.

Heck, it seems smarter to get a 1.4 year old Flagship Phone, and update the phone every 1.4 years to another phone that's 1.4 years old. Keeps you in the Goldilocks Zone of having the best screen, camera, performance, and software... at the lowest price, and acceptable resale possiblity.

None of those phones come close to OxygenOS at all. ZTE isn't exactly known for updating their phones either. Specs are one thing, software is arguably way more important

600 euro? Just buy it from AliExpress, the 8/256gb variant is around $470

The obvious alternative is: anything that is available in the US.

It sure would be nice if you listed availability on these reviews. What's the use of wasting time reading something that you aren't allowed to buy?

I had OnePlus since 3t and have always been happy with their phones.
When 6t came out I was looking for upgrade , but instead of buying 6t I bought 6, not coz of price but because they removed the headphone jack.
Now, when I will upgrade in the future it will be something like Mi 9t/9t pro. There is no logic to pay so much for a phone with less options than a decent midrange device.

Nice phone & review, was waiting for it. As it was unboxed, used & reviewed, wouldn't it be nice if you guys filmed it for a video review! 😀👍

Well funny thing is at china its same price with k20pro, and cheaper then mi9 with same storage model.

                      600 euro??
504$/447euro for 8/256 GB variant on AliExpress.
Shipping cost,VAT and customs fees included..

                        Cons:
                        No 3.5mm audio jack
                        No microSD card expansion
                        No ingress protection certification
No ultra-wide angle or telephoto cameras
Not a fullscreen experience, with unusual aspect ratio

...I mean GSMArena, those are some pretty big cons you have listed there.

It's selling for roughly 600 Euros, the same price as the luxury/flagship ZTE Axon10 Pro. Not to mention the better Nubia RedMagic 3 and ASUS ZenFone 6/6z at 500 Euros. And its horribly outmatched by the Lenovo Z6 Pro at only 400 Euros.

To me it looks like they need to shave off 250 Euros from the price, or fix all those Listed Cons, to remain competitive... and that's just never going to happen with their current management.

whoa .. now i want this phone as my next phone !!
