The vanilla is a downgrade, so you end paying more in relative terms for both phones at its prices and losing some specifications plus useful features like the jack or the Face ID for Microsoft licenses that a lot don't want to pay. Because the Microsoft software is not cheap and included in the prices for sure. Nothing is free.

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2019Note should be something else. Not just the S + Pen. ... moreOh come on, give me a break... Both phones are manufactured in the same year, two different series of product, its not going to be a major upgrade from the S model of the same year, it's the same thing every year... what are you talking about

You can't compare Note 10 with OnePlus7. you have to compare with S10+

Note 10 is for people who have used stylus phone in the past.

Not just the S + Pen.

S10+ has front ToF, no Note has.

DantE O2, 08 Aug 2019so samsung gave these guys some units to review befoe launc... moreThe only thing lame here is your lack of understanding of the N series. It's not meant to be more powerful and agressive than the S series of the same year, it's meant to be the variant with a Pen, which by the way, the pen has some really good innovations plus some additional minor upgrades to the hardaware and features. The N series is for people who will need the S-Pen, I am not sure what idea people got in therir heads expecting all devices to be designed for their particular taste... You don't like it? Then don't even open the link and move on, or at least have an idea of what device you are reviewing before commenting nonsense. The 3.5mm Jack removal it's an upgrade, this is not a phone for you to go excersise with or whatever with chords going from your pocket to your ears, this is a classy device, top tier. The punchhole (Whether you like the desing or not) it's also an innovation, but blindfolded people will just trash talk no matter what just because they don't like it or just hate the brand in general. This is a matter of taste, not all devices will meet your needs and expectatoins, that's why there are thousands of models out there, not everything is for you or about you.

One of the things I hope these new S-Pen air gestures can do is change volume if sound is playing. I like that I can start and pause music on my Note9 without touching the phone, but without volume control I can't use it often.

What? Need to buy super fast charger for 45w?

so samsung gave these guys some units to review befoe launch and now they posted the review so quickly, and to repay the favor just read the sentences they used, you think they are talking about the holy grail or some sort of futuristic change of our whole lives, drop it guys.
this is just s10+ with a hole in the bottom that can hold a pen in it. i don't see anything better over the last s10+ flagship here. not even the processor which is so lame.

kakouille, 07 Aug 2019Absolutely not the same.Aside from the S-Pen, minor additions to the camera and smaller punch hole (at the expense of a wider aperture) it's pretty much the exact same phone

Honestly?A disappointment...Granted,its probably the best phone of the year, but still, they clearly going to the wrong direction.Pretty obvious, they wanna force the hardcore fans to buy the Note 10+ model(with the higher pricetag),cause the normal Note 10 is basically a downgrade. The hardware is strong(256 GB internal memory for start with 8 or 12 GB RAM(for the PLUS model)),but softwerwise no serious upgrade.Who needs that ridiculous gimmick(AR DOODLE),or using the S-pen from a distance to control the gallery...All in all,I think, many Note fans gonna be disappointed.

Losing the heart rate monitor and SpO2 alongside the retinal scanner feel almost like betrayal. They over advertised them as the future, almost felt like they will be on the A line in a few years. Add to that the lack of 3.5 jack and expansion options on the 10 and it feels more of a downgrade.

Aside from that, Samsung's becoming more aware of the competition, and are improving bit by bit. maybe the note 11 will be a better upgrade.

Note 9 has better front design.

To anyone considering the Note 10 (Standard), i suggest you go for Note 9 instead. Not only will you save some money, but you'll also get a better device overall.

Note10+ is fine though, but definitely not the best option of 2019.

                                      No go.
