Shui8, 05 Sep 2019Those camera image output....still lacks Auto-HDR. Look at ... moreReality does not have 50% of the contrast applied by Pixel or Galaxy.
HDR does not work with EyeAF nor Predictive Capture, because stacking brings ghosting for moving objects.
If you go to manual, turn HDR the rest will remain auto values. So it is same of HDR on auto.

AnonD-819322, 05 Sep 2019Before anyone comes in and complains about the 6.1" display... moreLength (or height) matters. We want phone, not remote control.

AnonD-819322, 05 Sep 2019Before anyone comes in and complains about the 6.1" display... moreSure, you should also add that its smaller in the most important metric; thickness. Although its only slightly thinner by 1mm or less.
And sure its annoyingly wider by 3-4mm's. But don't forget the length is still important and we're also losing the front-firing stereo loudspeakers from its predecessors. And on this front its stupidly longer by around 31mm's !!
Have a look:

Those camera image output....still lacks Auto-HDR. Look at the sky, overblown highlights, the rest of the photos looks too low on contrast level. I wouldnt call that as natural looks.
As for the device itself, nothing wrong. Just average. Good thing its the best specs phone on a smaller device to date, bad thing pricing has to be right. It suppose to be cheaper than Xperia 1 current price.

I hate they adopted the sticking out camera. Make the phone thicker (battery? wireless charging?), I won't be putting the phone in any fugly covers, so that bump is just terrible.

Image quality looks ok but could do with a bit more contrast

The fact that their phones are so expensive and they had the nerve to remove wireless charging is astounding

Before anyone comes in and complains about the 6.1" display. The width of the screen is exactly the same as a 5" 16:9 display (62mm). Length of the display is a different story, we all hold our phones side-to-side, that's why width matters, length doesn't matter anymore as aspect ratios are wider.
