I owned 2 sony xperia phones, now I am owner of samsung galaxy s10e because of size. Sony- I no need showel !

Fixed focus on a flagship like this? In 2019? Are you kidding me? 😂. My xz2 6gb version is just like this one (I see not a realy upgrade)... Battery downgrade... Why buying this?. And I'm a big sony (ericsson) fan! I have tons of mint phones from old ones, Walkman / cybershot series, till now the newest!... Still waiting for a great phone prom sony!

Even the new S10 is tacky too because the punch hole doesn't make it looks great. If you love that design go ahead, but I won't, I know what is ugly.

Samsung release update only when it is really stable, smooth and bug free while sony rushes alpha builds with full of bugs.

XZ2c does not have replacement be... moreI think most compact users would agree that we'd love to see sony attempt to put the biggest screen they can fit on the XZ1c body even if it's an odd aspect ratio excluding 21:9 as it surely won't fit. 19:9 19.5:9 18:9 whichever works best. Add a bit of thickness for higher battery capacity.
But knowing sony, this will never happen

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2019Seriously you just cannot call a phone like this a "compact... moreI think we can call the phone a compact even if it has a 5" display as long as it fits the xz1compact body. Bezels are getting slimmer now thanks to OLED panels giving us a higher screen to body ratio.
@gsmarena, sony never stated the word "compact' with xperia 5 so please avoid it. Giving false hope to previous compact users :) thanks.

I own S10e and I can tell you xperia 5 is a better phone. Battery will last much longer, processor is more powerful, cameras are perhaps equal. Price will get lower. I would pick sony over sam anytime.

Same like Apple. They think we are all idiots.
Like always, camera on Sony devices only have bunch of uselless features. But quallity is far away from Huawei and Samsung. Even Apple build better cameras.

I ... moreThe battery gain the weight and you will feel like bring the smartphone with power bank in your hand at the same time to force you use both handed.
My suggestion is develop new technology to reduce battery consumption and less bulky on software. Furthermore if can create a lightest new battery with high capacity it would be better.

Every thing is impressive expect battery 3140mah only.
I suggest Sony to make minimum 4500-5000mah battery so that people may buy. Otherwise people won't buy.
