I should add to my last comment. Why do I use earbuds with my HiFi? It is because I have a hearing loss, and my earbuds have an app which allows me to customise the frequency profile I receive, using a graphic equaliser. So a good audio phone is very useful. I can also receive good audio directly from my NAS, using the Redmi phone only as a container of a (not wonderful Asustor) control app.

I am mostly satisfied with the phone, but disappointed in the lack of further updates. My one big criticism relates to something your reviews never appear to mention about almost every phone - that is the audio capability. With the massive use of earbuds, and a growing interest in higher quality Bluetooth I find this phone hopeless. The audio is low quality, and delivers to only one earbud - not stereo. My Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet delivers good 24bit/192KHz audio, but is much less convenient to use.
With the tablet I get high quality audio delivered wirelessly from my HiFi (higher quality than Bluetooth can match), then high quality Bluetooth to my earbuds. I don't live in my personal bubble outside of home, so using a phone's mobile capability is of no interest, other than for occasional txts and calls.
One day I will get a better phone (Redmi Note 12 Pro, or an Xperia, or a OnePlus) that takes audio seriously.

Using is since 3.5 years, below are points:
Camera: Still good pictures captured in 64 MP
Battery: drains more quickly, but can stay for a day with moderate use, and takes around 1.5 hrs to fully charge
Processor: Initially it was good, but it lags now in daily activity
Cons: microphone doesn't work properly,
In reboot mode it directly goes on factory reset instead of restarting

I'm using this phone until now, it's a very good phone, but Xiaomi stops updating their models after 3 years, and my Redmi note 8 pro stopped receiving updates in April 2022. I want to get a new phone, maybe an s24+, that will be a huge upgrade for me

Am still using it since October 2019, and that's almost 3 years this coming month and still in good condition event the battery remains the original. Though am using it with COD Mobile the battery still in good health.

it is the worst phone i used. The problems with sound, overheating, deletin apps without my permission. I hate the day I decided to byu this piece of garbage.

Respect, I wanted to praise the xiaomi company and congratulate one of the best phones and it is this redmi note 8 pro. I've had it almost since it came out. I would like to ask you to give it at least one more update to android 12 and miui 13 or what you think is best? I wanted to change it, but I didn't have an even better phone in my hands, and you are better, maybe only by 5-10%. this one has never bugged me or had any problems, the only thing is that the battery has weakened a bit, but after more than two years it is still holding up well. thanks in advance your loyal customer.

This phone is best for its prise only problem I can find is that it's software it's not bad but its a little buggy. It's camara is good. It is not a gaming phone but it can play bgm in ultra graphics and irs very smooth with gyroscope. I can give it 4/5 experience

This phone ruined my life forever. I am suffering from chronic depression right now because of this shitty phone that sabotaged my life and happiness forever I'm literally holding a razor in my hand rn to kill myself don't buy this phone! Fuck u redmi pro...more like redmi noob LOL x
