Am I the only one, who thinks that selfie cameras are useless? It ain´t so hard to turn your phone and take a pic. Or do you take selfies daily....

LG V50S ThinQ/LG G8X ThinQ offer 4K video quality but you guys picked to review to review Pixel phone which only record FHD ? Why is LG forgotten on this list ? There are other flagships forgotten too but you guys picked Asus out of nowhere. Where are LG flagships that offer fhd at 60 fps ? No where. Where is Xiaomi,Oppo,Vivo,OnePlus,Sony,HTC ?
This review gives me no useful information at all since it's all paid review by companies.

Most of the times I shoot selfies for myself. Just for memories. For my familiy and friends. Occassionally share it on social media.
Just, because some (or a lot of) people have no sense for what's important in life, doesn't make selfies senseless.
And no matter what. You know it's used. Very often. So there clearly is a demand.
P.S. People saying Huawei is the best: you think beautification filters that can't be disabled are cool?

Clearly Asus is the winner here , but Again GSMarena saying that it a tie between Apple and Samsung , so that they don't break hearts here .
but they ended up losing their credibility from most people

I got an impression that the reviewers were looking more for the individual parameters rather than the photograph as a whole. For instance, the outdoor scene with iPhone indeed exhibited excellent dynamic range but the whole portrait looked all but natural - the contrast was low, the colors of the face looked unnatural.
Noise, detail level, dynamic range - are all important but do not come in expense of the whole photograph.

Havent taken a selfie in 2 years - wish I could save the money for the front cam and have a true bezel/notch/hole-less phone, but no, people still love themselves too much to have the front cam removed.

The images are there for comparison and the selfies on the Mate 30 Pro look the worst in the majority of the shoots. The colour of the images are definitely off compared to all the others and we can see that with our own eyes. There is no conspiracy. It's a shame as otherwise the Mate 30 Pro looks to be one of the best phones on the market. Would the dodgy selfie camera put me off? probably! Just like it did with my Note 10 which also has a terrible front facing camera.

STEP 1: take a photo of yourself without a wide angle and with the camera at least 2 meters away from you
STEP 2: realize a selfy from the front facing camera of a phone has too much distortion to be called a portrait of you (well, even in the review it's shocking how the reviewer are not the same on their selfy and on the portrait)
STEP 3: Change your name to Narcissus.

How about a way to search for phones without a selfie cam.. or with a cam that is unable to work until you make it physically shown.

Not being fan of mate's colors is extremely hilarious. Mate is the winner by far but you need to accept and say it first instead of hiding behind silly reasons. Your color preference is not a minestone for assessment of a camera. With these kind of politically correct reviews you will lose followers. Your audience are not manufacturers, readers/followers. If you keep this approach, you wont be standing at the same place for long, sorry.
