I own a LG Viewty. Love it and I dont like to say this but....
The Nokia N95 takes clearly the best pictures. But the Viewty easily is the best at recording videos.
I calculated the scores and this is what I and this is how the result was:

The Nokia N95 won clearly with the score 93/140 points.
Second was LG Viewty ( :D ) with the score 81/140.
Third was SE K850 with the score 80/140.
And at fourth/last place was Samsung G600 with the score 66/140 points.

(It were 14 tests where the telephones got ratings/points from 0-10, so the best score it could get was 140/140)

These results are a little unfair.

They used the "Auto function" for all 4 phones.
EXCEPT, they had updated the firmware for N95.

It is not fair because the SE K850i also have firmwares out that improves picture quality. Which was not included in this review.

To be fair, they should've used the N95 with-out the firmware update.

This review is also outdated by now. Look for updated reviews, and picture samples!

do not understand. G600 clearly is the best in daylight. less noisy reduction applied than other three. imagine looks pretty clear.
i agree with the phonearena website. here is the compelte 5 mega cellphone comparsion they had(n82,n95,k850,g600,g800,viewty and canon camera)

Well, overall all of the phones are excellent.
But here is the thing, Nokia N95 did a great job in pleasing our eyes but the truth is, it has trick in making the pictures more pleasing by adding much colors to it.
If you prefer pictures that are great but in the sake of cheating for making the pictures look unnatural, why not go to Nokia N95.
In the case of the sony ericsson K850i, it did a more naturalistic images than the nokia N95. But unfortunately, camparing the pictures of the two will make the N95 the winner because of its trick.

It's up to you to decide,
Pictures that look more pleasing but is less natural
                or
Pictures that look less pleasing but is more natural

I agree but I thing G600 is the one of the best and has good price for your pocket
                  I got one.
there is no doubt, the winner would be nokia n82, it is most complete, but LG Viewty, has the best video by far.

I used to have the K850 and it was just awful! Skin tones always came out too bright, and I had to keep wiping the lens because it didnt have a lens cover. So i got the N82 instead and i couldnt be happier. The picture quality is amazing and it has a lens cover.

I own an N95 and and a N82 and they are completley different in comparison (not just the xenon flash). If you take side by side snapshots, the N82 is always producing better quality pics than the N95.

                            i agree with the sasquatch.

                            obviously gsmarena wasnt bribed.

and all the sony erricson fans are saying the review is biased! rubbish! compare the two phones in real life and you'll see the n95 photos are brilliant!

apparently se ruled the camera roost a few years back but just accept its not that way anymore!
im glad nokia won too because the features as well as the camera totally outrun the sony erricsons and so they deserve to win for that alone!

                              Hello Good People
I was reading the article with great interest since I am using my mobile phone as a camera. I have taken more than 20 thousand pictures for less than two years... Pictures that are life time memory....the growth of my baby daughter.....the trip to China...great wall, forbidden city...etc. All this pictures have been taken with Sony Erricsson W800i. The reason why I bought this phone was the strong camera (two years ago)and considering the camera test made by GSM Arena the best in the market those days. I believed GSM Arena and bought this cam-phone, and till today I did not regret my decission. After two years I am looking for new cam-phone and I would like to thank GSM Arena for this test that definitely helped me decide. Even that I am actual SE user, my new cam-phone will be NOKIA N82 based on this test due to the fact that I have justified reason to 100% believe GSM Arena.
                              BIG THANK TO GSM ARENA

When time comes for u to give u N72 to someone, make sure u select someone who will never break ur N72, cuz broken N72 has never spare parts.

nobody's mentioning the Viewty, so thought i'd back it up a bit. the camera is good, seriously, just need to tinker with the settings.

My brother has N82 and he's considering trading that in for a Viewty. Nuff said.

No bad for the K850 as this is a first 5MP for SE, whereas the Nokia 8GB, the second revision. I'm sure the tables will be turned if we compare a second version of SE's 5MP to the Nokia 8GB. Wonder how the results would have been if they used the first N95? Compare red apples with red apples?????
