I use my phone about 3 hours a day for games like clash of clans or fallout shelter, watching YouTube, and using Snapchat, and searching the web. The battery still lasts well. And everything is working great. I would get one

ARAFAT, 15 Feb 2023Standing in 2023, is it good for me to grab one plus 8? Be... morefor sure, i am in my 3rd year and the device has never let me down.... only downside I feel is the OS now little away from stock android, but it is nit-picking as even the new OS is very smooth and yes colorful... i have been using Oneplus phones since oneplus 1 and always had to come back on Oneplus if sticking to android, used Samsung twice but had to leave them due to slowness they get after couple of years... so I feel oneplus 8 is still capable device in 2023... hope it helps

I am starting to think that all reviews are bs. The ultra wide camera on the OP8 is way superior to 2022 phones and on par with the S23 Ultra..

I have tested it next to the iPhone 14 and the S23 Ultra. The iPhone's wide camera photos were absolutely horrible, completely unusable. The S23 Ultra were good, but the OP8 was slightly better.

Khan, 12 Jan 20217t proBro I am using 8 and it is far better than 7t please get 8 model ..

Marc, 31 Aug 2021Had to say goodbye to my OnePlus 5t, now looking at OnePlus... moreI think I'd choose the nord 2 over the vanilla oneplus 8. The oneplus 8's camera setup is really outdated, and gcam mod can only help it so much. Gsmarena's testing indicates that the nord can do internet browsing for a bit longer than the 8, and it also charges much faster. The nord 2 also comes with a flat screen, which will make finding a decent case/tempered glass combo easier.

There is a terrible bug/hardware issue that needs to be acknowledged: the edges of the screen have a very big input lag that will often result in you writing couples of letters with switched position to what you typed(for example if you type "pi" fast enough you will often get "ip"), making the touchscreen useless and since this is not getting any concern from oneplus over the numerous reports it's probably just an hardware thing that they are trying to hide, hoping people will just feel retarded for suddenly not being able to type anymore.

Maybe main camera too bcos new sensor

But i like oneplus 8 more,

Btw nord 2 more compact only a mm than oneplus 8 so more comfortable to grip than op 8

Had to say goodbye to my OnePlus 5t, now looking at OnePlus 8 (380 €) or OnePlus Nord 2 (399 €).

I liked my 5t very much, so which of the two of OnePlus 8 or OnePlus Nord 2 is of similar experience? Software, browsing experience, speed etc? I don't do videogames btw :)

One plus quality of phones is going down with every iteration. I used to love my OnePlus 5t but I dislike my OnePlus 8. Does not feel as smooth as 5t. Switching back to Samsung Galaxy S series

Does the 8 have the notorious "grayish HDR blacks in complete dark surroundings" issue.. 7t , 8t as well as 9 series suffer from it.

I have the opportunity to get the 8(8/128) for 449 euros or 7 pro for 379 euros (8/256) abd I dont know which one I should get

Shah imran , 12 Aug 2020What should i buy oneplus 8 or 7t pro? I am confussed becau... moreI got both phones. And I'm extremely satisfied with both experiences. But i recommend the 8 for a longer term updates and better handling as the pro 7 was bulkie and heavier than the 8. Charging is also an advantage in the 8.

                                      Oneplus 8 or Oneplus 8T?
I love to have edge and signature look on back, where 8T has only 30+ refresh rate in advantage. Also I heard fast charging is not good for device and edge is not user friendly and error prone to break.help me..!

Cee0114, 24 Sep 2020need help. which one is better? 7t Pro or 8 non-pro?The only advantage really of the 7t pro over the 8 is the screen has no punchole. The 8 has the Snapdragon 865 over the 855+ which is definitely performing better in every way possible. If you want a gaming phone go and buy a proper gaming phone with all the cooling they provide as the 855+ will heat up more than the 865 . The OnePlus 8t is there if you don't want a curved display plus it has 120hz screen over 90hz. I've used higher resolution displays than the one in the one plus 8 but seriously this is the best screen I've ever used. The narrow display makes the phone awesome to handle and most video players zoom out into the curves meaning no black bars at all... really makes the display pop. This is my first curved phone and if anything it's the easiest handling phone I've ever had. Its light for its size. Gaming performance is outstanding..it barely gets warm. Wi-fi connectivity great , 5g could be better but that might be my network. Volte is supported . Battery could be better on standby ( uses about 10% battery overnight) but everything else including high performance gaming is excellent for battery. Speakers are Very loud with bass that astonishes for a phone. Headphones performance is above average but no audiophile device..my HTC 10 was the best sounding phone in headphones..in comparison the vocals get a little washed out on OP8. One thing I can say is don't upgrade to android 11 if you rely on Bluetooth as it's got bugs..gamepads don't work properly and audio equipment has glitches ..this has been reported on many android 11 devices not just OnePlus..even googles own pixels suffer with these bugs. Android 10 is excellent and very stable plus there's instructions how to downgrade to android 10 from 11 ..I did it without a pc and no rooting it was that easy. Maybe the price hike on the OP8 has something to do with OnePlus working with Samsung on the screens. If you've got the money get the 8 pro if you haven't I'd say get the 8T unless you want a curved display but remember the OP8 has 90hz while the 8T and 8Pro have 120hz. The 90hz screen is smooth as butter still. I can't really recommend the 7series as it's using an older processor and isn't as comfortable to hold. One more thing don't get the karbon bumper as it's more slippery than the phone itself.
