It's simple binaural algorithm that can by spiced with headtracking that probably not even baked in current WH series in a proper form.
I own WH for years now, it does support 360, I never even turn it on once.

This is exactly a type of PR Sony is known in audio world - good on paper - sucks irl.
You might repeat "You all just hate Sony" as a broken record, but I am the user of phones, headphones and other Sony equipment. I just do not use only Sony, I use ... I review more products. I hate everyone equally.

The distance is clear when you're watching it about 10 inch on phone compare to 10 feet on TV is the likely same distance. The superior clarity on 4K definitely makes image quality surpass any lower grade display.

Hardware decoder is not needed, it'... moreIf it is just simple SW and need no HW, why would sony claims, it is supported on "most" headphones unlike it supports on all headphones??? (There is even list of headphones which support 360). Forget about all smartphones, Even LG V60 don't support this feature lol. So yes, you need hardware as well. You can't just play 360 audio on any smartphone. For now, Xperia 1 II definitely supports this feature.

              Also it is not so simple tech. They have invested a lot into this innovation. When similar techs were innovated by Apple or other brands. People will drool over them. Since it is Sony, people are just being blind with hatred.

                        BTH love how you type "Xperia 1 II review" or "Xperia 1 II" for that matter in Youtube and you get like 50:50 chance to find a fake video.
                        That is a really unusual trend that started with this phone.
                        I mean they always were there, but with release of Sony, the Youtube algorithm went "F the fight against fake news, we want more ad revenue".

                          Right now only Tidal is using it. Tidal is awesome, yet it's userbase is small and the price is higher.
                          Got a 32% discount on this one, but I am still waiting for battery test and first firmware - I bet we will see a lot of battery saving modes, more screen profiles (resolution wise) and camera tweaks.

                          I give it one more month to amaze me with their support ... or higher discount :D

                              Soon Dolby Atmos will be replaced by Sony 360 Reality Audio in all devices. Just like how Sony popularized 3.5mm, LDAC and Waterproof on smartphones.

Great bass, with balance high & low tones using bluetooth earbuds.

                                  P/S in Huawei stock music player, theres a hidden eq toggle when u play music and tap on the wave icon in the centre. 'Kirin optimized' & 'Mega bass' are my favourite.

                                        You tried to use the equalizer as an excuse to make up for a lacking. But most others have an equalizer and many with dobly to boot.
