Nice phone although imo all the new flagships are too expensive.
I'd choose this over the competition the camera's are seemingly very capable and the 21:9 4k screen is really nice on the xperia 1 for watching movies.
4k is only nice if you are able to see the difference but the look (colours and sharpness) of the screen in 1080p of 2k are more to my liking than on the s20u.

And in the conclusion/alternatives it's not really fair to say the s20+ and s20u have a 120hz display without saying it's only in 1080p if you want 2k you won't be getting the hrr.

[deleted post]You could have just done the normal and given a disclaimer about results not being final. Then given us finalized results like usual when ready.
How bad can it be? If software was ready for testing and the battery is 4000mah...and Sony is supposedly so godly amazing at battery optimizing even with 3000mah battery.

This is about £250 above what you would expect it to be. A fantastic phone, Sony’s best since Xperia Z2. But they’ve just priced themselves too ambitiously here when the competition is too tough.

The best summary for this review will be exactly following: "A great phone for reach Sony fans or for those who didn't die or lost job due to COVID". Having mixed bag experience with Xperia 5 I'd add - Not worth it! Thanks

To want one, you have to compromise many other things. Sony designers are not stupid. I'm not supporting it is good or bad but it is the same like Xperia 1. A decent one.

Nor is it just for "ig" posts.
Nor is it ok for people to belittle usage of social media.

Photographers don't tend to care about getting that perfect Instagram selfie. I prefer the company focusing on rear cameras and display experience. I always saw the front camera as a self absorption tool/ video call tool.

3 weeks since this review was written. Can we expect results on the Battery Test soon? The device is easily attainable in Europe now so it should be straight forward to procure.

Just watched SuperSaf's first impressions; glad many Techtubers acknowledge that this phone is different. I'm still holding on to my Xperia 1 though.
