MobileMan, 04 Nov 2020 Ok , so having seen the Realme X3 SuperZoom , i find 4 pr... moreTry cleaning the camera cache every so often - it boosts performance considerably. Regarding quality (definition) I think X3 is very good, but it does depend a lot on subject matter and lighting. Some of them standard comparison with my Nikon D610 DSLR, others are reminiscent of an Instamatic, in terms of detail, etc. Earlier this year, I purchased a new, Doogee V30T, and took side-by-side shots with the realms, using only the main cameras and without digital cropping. Later on, I examined both sets of photos on my laptop, at x25, x50 and x100 magnification. I was shocked! The Realme's performance made the Doogee's camera look rubbish in terms of detail, though I did prefer the colour balance of the Doogee. Goodbye Doogee! Since then, I've tried Realme's latest offering with the Isocell HS3, 200MP main camera. Yes, up to x4, it does produce pictures with more detail if you shoot in the full, 200 MP mode but it is subject dependent. Some of the photos exhibit significantly more detail and this is evident in post-processed, digital crops. Others, however, eg. details on a lamp post taken from a distance, are better on the X3, even though its high res. mode is only 64 MP. The real let down of the X3 has to be its IPS panel; the plastic frame and buttons (no attempt made to disguise it) and the lack of 5G; and poor noise cancelling on video. It's still a good phone though, and often sells secondhand for the price of a budget smartphone.

Ok , i just put a long post , just to keep it short -
My Problem with Realme x3SZ is , its wonder phone in all aspect , incl. Processor , 120 hz, etc. but the negatives are -
1. No 3.5mm. Jack - It makes huge difference in many scenarios. And its angers me , caring for customers by these brands.
2. No Call reording - Native Support , because of that many 3rd Party apps support - 50 - 50.
3. Cameras - My Many Point - In that -
a) 16mp Daylight camera has 2x Noise then 6 Pro. The detail level is also low thanks to this noise , i think its ISP & Lenses might be the culprit. ( Otherwise images are excellent , but i am a pixel-peeper )
b) 16Mp night mode Auto Shots - Silence is Golden.
c) 16Mp Night Mode - Though Sharper & more detailed then 6 Pro , colours , Dynamic Range is for 6 pro , also these are heavily oversharpened , leading to sharpening noise & painting effect. So nothing impressive over 6 Pro.
d) Video mode i felt it below 6 pro ( All modes incl. Primary , though only marginally ) , Yes , voice recording in videos is better then 6 pro.
Google Camera does make remarkable / noticable diff. , but each google cam. image takes 2 - 5 sec. to process , so in realy life unless you are doing stationery object / scenery etc. , its virtually useless , its because of this pratical scenarios ie mainly shooting in Primary 64mp / 16mp mode , night mode that is making the difference , not 5x ( Though excellent in daylight )

X3SZ user - if you have doubt , just see what gsmarena has spoken in there x3SZ review , on both x3sz & 6 pro "Cameras" there is barely any improvement after updates ( As its basically upper midrange ) they dont bother. I never spoke about 720G vs 855+ which is known fact.
I have always maintained the 5x of X3SZ in daylight is good , & if your stable the 5x video mode is also good , the issue is 6 pro has better primary 64mp. cam. ( Both Photo & Video , daylight & Night ) , Quite Good 2x zoom cam. with barely any noise unless you crop upto 100% or more also its 12mp. with 4k Video ,
whereas x3SZ has Good primary 64mp in daylight only , night auto mode is muddled , night auto mode though sharper its dark then night mode of 6 pro thus missing out shadow details, 5x night mode is good if area is brigthly lit but the dimmer aperture takes its toll , basically following this is issue -
1. 2x noise in daylight photos .
2. Auto Night mode , & Night Mode is little off.
I mean this is with primary cam. afterall most of the time we will shoot in primary only. At dusk image quality takes a hit , 5x in daytime is awesome , but 5x we will use sometimes , even in 5x night time shots are nothing to talk of.
Yeah , no Auto Call Recording in x3sz.
X3SZ only 5x daylight , & Basic daylight photos impressed me , but the noise meant it comes lower to 6 pro. i am not fan of starry mode etc. as its long wait , i mean see the practical side , if your primary is muddled , then it carries less value.

I am using realme X3 superzoom since 3 months already now. And camera quality is excellent comparing to other phones in this price range the chroma boost or AI boost is excellent. + You get ultra fast Snapdragon 855+ chipset at this price range. Dunno why gsmarena is underrating many good devices while overrating some "not at all good" ones. And also it has 120 Hz only a dumbo wouldn't know difference in 60Hz display and 120Hz. 60Hz is normal but 120Hz is the highest you get (144Hz is mostly there is high end expensive flagship ones tho). Realme is also slowly removing ColorOS from most Realme phones (or realme UI 2.0 update basically). Don't compare realme X3 superzoom with realme 6 pro, Snapdragon 855+ is a flagship grade while Snapdragon 720G is mid range gaming chipset (far inferior to 855+). X3 superzoom is basically a full packed with high end gaming + camera phone while coming under affordable price range.

Hey Members commenting here please confirm - Do they feel Realme x3SZ camera is Poor ( Noise in daylight both 16Mp & 64Mp ) & Poor Dynamic range & Softness in night time Shots.
Anonymous - POCO X3 NFC is having poor 64mP isp Its too soft ( I have a feeling IMX 682 is inferior in Image Processing then IMX686) , 13Mp UWide is only improvement , rest all is downgrade , marginally improved screen with excellent touch response maybe , NFC & big battery in India rest all is like POCO X2 ( If they had AMOLED then it was different story ) , but the 64MP camera needs improvement. Again Realme 7 Pro seems better option as you get Amoled & Night Modes ( Which are superior to POCOs ) , 65W Charger, Realme 6 Pro has 2x zoom cameras so they have there USPs.

Ok , so having seen the Realme X3 SuperZoom , i find 4 problems with this handsets & will be rating as per whats importance for my purpose -
1. Camera is clearly Poor
2. No MicroSD ( No Realme flagship have BTW , but 6 Pro has & it makes difference when you have 64 MP cameras , i have filled 20 GB Photos in just 5 days & Barely 100 Photos of work related data ) , so 128GB internal you will have to keep laptop side-by :-).
3. No HeadPhone Jack ( I hate this trend , its irritating as i dont operate bluetooth headset ( Because of Lags - Latency etc. , so have to use Mi Bluetooth Receiver :-\ ))
4. IPS LCD ( Quality is similar to Realme 6 Pro only 120 Hz vs 90 Hz thats it ) , so NO AMOLED. Real Bad. ( Even 60Hz AMOLED was better )
As far as camera , problem is it has good amount of Noise , may be more saturation & Over Sharpening seems responsible , even in 16 Mp mode , i was shooting at my workplace with good sunshine inside & still photos looked stale (Noise ) , in Darker Areas its even worst. ( In Comparision Realme 6 Pro ( Had Noise way under control but still noticeable in dark areas ) , this is pointed out by GsmArena also , but in real life its far worst then even there samples they have provided. 64Mp is a joke as Noise squashes everything , Realme 6 Pro & X50 are still usable 64MP Shots. ( Night time is actually inferior to realme 6 pro ( I felt realme 6 Pro is real Midrange Flagship except 720G , screen only for official stuff - gaming , as camera has 30 - 40% lesser Noise ) , Realme X50 seems the real flagship overall.
Only , 5X Zoom is crazy, i mean they should have provided atleast 2 x or 3 x zoom alongwith 5x , 5x is not as useful as say 2.2x of OP7T or 2.1x of Realme 6 Pro & Realme X50 - Like Huawei did to provide 3x & 10x zooms , - Again this is small 8Mp sensor (it means only 1080p , no 4k at 5x , whereas 6pro , x50 all have 4k at telephoto , even Hauwei has 12Mp 5x.)
I feel in realme camera department - Realme x50 > Realme 6 Pro > Realme x2 Pro ( Contrast & Softness in night shots ) > Realme x3 SZ > Realme x3 ( As per reviews it seems realme x3 ( Not SZ ) has probably problem of UnderExposure with similar noise as X3 SZ & its 2x zoom is actually 1.9x )
Please let me know if they have improved on camera or i have missed any software update on camera. in Realme x3 SZ as i am planning on returning it as camera was more important for me. ( 6 Pro was with my bro so you know i checked as GSMArena was clear that X3SZ camera is noisy ) , but the budgery pricing got me.

No amoled is pro. This screen doesn't flicker one bit. All amoled and a lot of IPS too, flicker between 244 and 5000hz which gives headache and eyestrain.
Not to mention amoled Breaks much more easily from a drop.
I would possiblynbuy this phone if my own phone didn't require me too swap it just. 5X zoom or more is awesome.

If the phone can support 5G, I am sure Realme would already market it as such since 5G is all the rage in 2020. The SD855+ is said to be able to receive OTA updates from Qualcomm for its GPU drivers.

Just realme needs "to set it free" with a firmware upgrade?
Anyone?
Is the needed hardware onboard?
