This is a good secondary phone or a primary phone if not doing any heavy gaming or video editing or other heavy tasks. I prefer tha m31 though. There's m31s coming up already. Samsung flooding the market

It's just that the display they got was faulty.
Moreover, screen bleeding issue don't happen to the entire Xiaomi's phone lineup, just 1-2 types (CMIIW, the only known one was Poco F1, while the Redmi Note9 is still a rumor, as that type was just recently launched).

And, do u really believed that NO BRANDS except Xiaomi didn't have screen bleeding issue? If yes, then u r either exceptionally naive,or exceptionally biased.
Heating issue in Redmi Note 8 pro was just a result of uneven quality control.
Some units were faulty out of the box, but only a small amount; the rest are working great.
My friend own one, and so far, he didn't face any overheating, even after long gaming session (30 mins - 1 hour).
Well, the only REAL minus for Xiaomi are uneven quality control & after sales service, though.
BUT, even those issue also happen in most brands, including Apple (broken Lightning connectors after several months, etc), even more so with after sales service; even the 'overly hyped', 'resurrected' Nokia have notorious service center.

Anon, 13 Jun 2020Note 9 is better in every way than this phone, idk why peop... moreI agree with you, but those people have their reasons, with each redmi note release, I hear about issues that I never heard with other brands, it was the heating issue with the note 8 pro, and then the screen bleeding issue withe note 9s/pro... And I think this is due to the lack of communication from Xiaomi, who doesn't take these rumors seriously. Then there is quality control, xiaomi have none, and in my country, xiaomi's customer services are almost none existant. So people try to stay away from them. The problem is that Samsung aren't innocent at all, they have good quality control and services, but the materials they use in their mid-range devices, especially the M series, are super cheap, but people wouldn't notice that.
