So... It really doesn't have OIS for main camera, main camera can't shoot 4k60fps, main camera can't shoot manual video, it doesn't have FM radio and IR?

I expected MUCH more from that battery. Even Oppo's Find X2 Pro did better and it has higher performance, 2K, 120Hz refresh rate, AND a smaller battery (which is infuriating how much that phone is missing for the price bracket).
If it wasn't for the garbage audio treatment, the HTC U20 would have a fighting chance against this.

Another flop from LG. Huge phone, much more ugly than the name suggests, has chin, forehead and notch, small battery and mediocre camera. This is a $300 phone and that if you do not consider the competition.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2020LG Velvet 16.2W is bad, but 7W on iCrap is good? Rly gsmarena. Big difference. LG Velvet is hardwired to charge at 16W while Apple iPhone now supports 18 to 30W charge but you need that kind of charger to use it as they only provide 7W charger.
Try again with that cr@p. I hope Nokia 8.3 and HTC U20 is better than that.

Polymer OLED, not plastic.
Even those flat screens are known as poled too.

- unimpressive camera
- low battery endurance with slow charging
- 60Hz screen
- dual screen is the only standout feature, but sold separately
- 650€
I don't get it. If you want a midranger, you can have such specs much cheaper. If you're looking at the 600€ price segment, Red Magic 5G goes for 579 and that's a proper gaming flagship competing in a much higher league. Not to mention all of the SD855 phones from 2019 now offered in this price bracket.
The paint job is nice, but you never see it from inside that dual screen case. Is that supposed to be the selling argument? Why even bother?

So let me get this straight, people say that the moto edge is expensive, but this tacky LG (call it whatever you like), has the same snapdragon 765G , but only 60hz a total endurance of 79H (GSm Arena tests), compared to the 102H of the moto edge.
No tele photo camera either and LG is asking 650€ (you might be lucky if the bundle Dual screen is available or not)
Honestly it´s a complete waste this phone, you would have to crazy to go for this one instead of the moto edge or the oneplus 8.BTW that waterfall notch is very late 2018, it´s past now and doesn´t cut it in 2020 but i leave that to the design experts to decide
Rest in peace LG

Much ado about nothing really. For 300Eur i would think about it. It has some personality. But for 600 or 700EUR, it's a complete disaster. Nevermind you have better LG phones available, but that money gets you a lot of semi flagships or all of last years flagships.
A disgrace for LG and hopefully this time next year there won't be a LG mobile division. And it's nobody else"s fault but LG's moronic product and pricing strategy!

I definitely love the design and colour. The DualScreen case remains one of my favourite accessories to date. At $735, I thought that the price difference with the V60 doesn't really make sense. But I later found out that the V60 sold at T-Mobile for $799 was actually without the DualScreen case. If you want the DualScreen bundle, you need to pay $899 and $949 at T-Mobile and Verizon respectively. So come to think about it, that $165 or $215 price difference for the Velvet sounds pretty much alright.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2020I'm still trying to make sense out of 79 hours Battery test... moreLook at individual scores rather than the overall Endurance rating. The calling/browsing/video playback times are good. The overall rating is only affected due to high standby drain.
Most people who charge their phones daily will be satisfied with the in-use performance of the phone. Only people who charge their phones less often will be disappointed.

Overall it seems like a solid phone. The design is attractive for sure. Specs are solid for a midranger.
The camera performance can be heavily improved with GCAM. So that leaves only the slow charging as the disappointment. Not too shabby.
But then again, paying a bit more can get you LG V60 instead, which is a better offering, if you don't mind the design.

lewein, 24 Jun 2020JFK, that standby is horrendous, it's a 700 series soc, it ... moreDon't know about you buddy, but I'll take a phone that lasts long during use than a phone that lasts long in standby. It doesn't really matter if the phone can last 2 weeks on standby, but only 8 hours during browsing or video playback.
BTW, the standby drain might be due to 5G. It might fare better on 4G.

I'm still trying to make sense out of 79 hours Battery test result as a Very Good mark!
