And remember, iPhones are made by Samsung. Try to get the SD version of the S20, much cheaper than the Exynos version. For some weird reason, Exynos chips are expensive. But they are good despite the bad press they get.

Are the fps stable and is gameplay good

The S series is the only one to have Dynamic Amoled. And watching movies on such a huge screen is a treat. Even my A51 has a vibrant display. And to think Samsung supplies 90% of an iPhone's components, including an inferior LCD display and overclocked processors.
Now, Apple's announced it will make its own chips, it has made such announcements in the past too..As for OnePlus/Oppo and their extended family, my Realme 5 pro bent inexplicably in about 5 months of use, and I'm extra careful with all my phones. For quality, I think only Samsung and Apple make the cut, others also exist. Xiaomi is also somewhat durable..but give me OneUI over MiUI anyday..

The fact Xperia 1 II has a Snapdragon 865 on the helm and pulling a 3840x1644px (4K UW) screen whereas non of any mid-ranger chipset able to execute are way more than enough to solidify its (halo) flagship status.

So basically as you say you not hating the device but it was the device that was so close to being the one perfect device.
And no other OEM has come close.
