Anonymous, 19 Aug 2020P40 Pro and Pro+ are not as good as S20 Ultra in low light.... moreI'm pretty sure that's due to some device specific lens quality issues. GSMArena's unit of P40 is capable of resolving details across the frame really well yet manages to keep the noise low.

Not to mention that P40 series uses BM3D NR algorithms that sweeps away noises in low frequency areas of the image while preserving the patterns in high frequency area, so it's kind of hard to tell whether those textures on the marbles are actually details or just noises.

And if you are getting blurred shots of moving objects, it means your shutter speed is not fast enough and you need to go into Pro mode to increase the ISO manually.

The noise reduction is too much and removes details. Check out the photo comparison tool in both good and low light. Look at the coloured beads and you will know what I mean.

"990 Kirin is a bit behind the 990 Exynos".
Nope, 990 Kirin is much better, since it doesn't throttle as much (CPU and GPU wise). Modem is performing better too.

Another Samsung flagship with all the specs and when it comes to the total package, it falls short, when would fanboys get over this whole it can do this it can do that, they’re not even the best at being a well rounded smartphone that delivers well rounded experience

if you want us to see low light performance, compare it with p40 pro not with s20 ultra which pretty mediocre in low light

What none of the reviewers have yet to cover is does the Note 20 Ultra continue with Samsung's issues with skin smoothing and blurred photos of even slightly moving subjects?

It makes me wonder if it's just broken or intentionally disabled in GSMArena's early test unit for some technical reasons that us readers don't know.

wasox, 18 Aug 2020You are just an ignorant geek-fanboy, although the exynos ... moreConsuming nearly double the power while being less performant in CPU tests, and throttling down the GPU to the level of SD845 or even below under sustained load are hardly what I would call "little inferiour", especially considering the fact that both SD865 and Exynos 990 were released at roughly the same time and use the latest CPU/GPU core architectures.

If that display brightness are true then Samsung don’t an excellent job. But I don’t think so cause I saw other review in YouTube the reviewer mentioned that the manual brightness yeah better than s20 ultra and note 10 plus, but auto brightness actually worst!, better wait for anandtech more detailed review.
