I regret buying this phone. So many problems, so few things work properly/well.
I can't return the phone because I can't say categorically what is wrong with it. Just about everything fails every two-three days but not every day. Utterly frustrating and a waste of $500.
Don't buy an Oppo. Stick to the main stream brands.

Happens to me as well, I think this is because they made the phone too good for too cheap, has many drawbacks. Probably gonna get a new phone and sell or give to my sister that still uses an iPhone 5s :)

Must try 120hz though. Just try 90, a nice little compromise.

Why rele... moreOppo has 18w charging out the box. (faster than the Samsung Galaxy S8), and you can buy 65w chargers.
That is 0-60 in 15 minutes.
Don't complain about the fast charging.

Something is not right with this phone.
It struggle after a few hours of use. Laggy and slowdown especially in google apps.
A restart sorts the problem but then happens again.
Is it mediatek processor or color os????? Oppo need to fix asap.
The mobile hotspot doesn't work properly. Keeps crashing and having to turn it on and off
Can't surf the same time as making a call on phone??!!! Why?!
Wifi speeds are crap. 4g speed is ok.
Speaker volume is crap.
Battery lasts less than 4 hours when 120hz.
5.5 hours when 60hz. Just scrolling and browsing and youtube
Worst battery life I've ever had in phone
But if i have phone on standy and don't use it, then standby time is very good. But no point if I cannot use phone
Call quality is crap.
Screen is dark and have to put on high brightness to see which drains battery more quickly.
No color inversion in color os?? Why?? Why remove this option for people who have partial color detect issues. This is unfair for partial color blind people.
Screen too blue hue. Comfort mode no good. Still blueish tint to screen and very dark. No good.
I hate this phone, and they will not allow me to return it as they say there is no fault and want me to post phone direct to oppo for few weeks to detect problem. No replacement phone. Very crap service.
Mediatek processor in this phone is not good. Struggles too much. I thought dimensity 800 was powerful mid range chip. This is not true. Behaving like very very low budget chip in real use.

So the regular 800 has 1 more g... moreIn single core test, where only one of the A76s is tested, obviously the higher clocked one will do better, but in multi core test, having 2 more A76s with lower clock speeds would be more powerful.
In graphics, I don't exactly know how many more cores does the U version have compared to the standard one, but if it's just one core less but have every remaining cores clocked for about 10% higher, then certainly the higher clockspeed would be enough to outweigh the one extra core present on the standard version.
The approach of more working cores is still better though, as it will be much better for energy efficiency and sustained performance.

Frequently freezes, the screen unlock button is a frustration.as mentioned the camera isn't great and for the price I had a better phone in a budget Huawei for £100 less.
Playing live stream sports and you tube makes the images twitchy and not fluid as you'd expect from a video.
My biggest annoyance is the mute button on the phone is right on your ear if you use the phone left handed and constantly block the calls.
Avoid this one and do some better research before spending on it

I'm ultra confused:
So the regular 800 has 1 more gpu core and two stronger A76 cores..... And still performs worse than the 800U???? In cpu and gpu performance
So less but higher cores are better??
So 2+6 is best???
