Got my G900 3 days ago...
the problems i noticed:
1. inbox:whether u read d sms or not, the icon for read or unread sms is the same. its sorted by date n not by whether u read or not.
2. to delete d sms u need to mark all. cant jz option->delete all msgs like previous SE i had.
3. cant rotate photos easily. lots hassle
4. cant custom navigation keys. cant assign each direction for shortcuts, eg. calendar, write new.
5. laggy when u open inbox
there are other things which u wil onli notice after u buy d hp. wont notice wen u tryit at d shop.
this hp is ok for d price. color and camera is good. go for it if u got about 1500 budget. design is cool, but a bit heavy. anybody with opinions or bugs or problems pls email me personally at
ng-kevin@hotmail.com
would love feedbacks and ideas thanks!

This phone is awful. I don't like putting down products but this is the worst SE phone I've ever owned and SE don't care that they have made a pile of cr4p - I've used SE phones since the T68i but this will be my last (the K850i was bad but this is worse!).
The spec does not match the whitepaper (no bluetooth HID control for example). It crashes around 4 times a day. It won't sync email with SE PC Suite (contacts, appointments etc are OK).
The contact icons for home and office are identical and therfore it's impossible to use the "calls" list to call someone when you regularly call their home and ofice number as you can't tell the difference!
When calling a contact it doesn't display the number.
The calander alarm and alarm clock functions are incorrectly implemented, so synced appointments with reminders use the alarm clock tone and the alarm clock tone does what it wants - so you can't rely on either which is critical for an alarm function (a bug SE have known about since the P9 series!).
Wifi is intermittent and the WLAN crashes regularly, requiring phone restarts to work again.
Phonebook searches are specific (ie if you search for aa, and you have no contacts starting aa but some starting ab, it will find nothing.
Plus many more small issues like this. None of which have ever been present on SE Java based handsets. It's very bad when new products go backwards. I'd put this handset around the K700 level developement stage.
The worse thing is that the phone has no profile settings - and it's aimed at business users! SE say this is because they are not necessary - whereas it's actually due to the fact that they won't spend money developing them for the Symbian OS - Nokia have though!
The business card scanner is good though!
Overall, a well featured but very badly executed handset that could have been so much better with a bit more effort from SE. I would aviod at all costs.

Dear GSMArena,
The designe of the phone looks nice but if you have +500 contacts, I don't suggest anyone should buy this PDA phone. G900 same as P900, the phone just doesn't connect PC even after you installed PC suite. If you lost you phone, you lost all your information because G900 can not do it back up work to your PC Outlook. I am just wondering all the software development department in Sony Ericsson is only paid for doing nothing. Otherwise, the PC suite should connect as good as windows mobile since everything nowaday should be simple as plug and play... user friendly, right?

Price will be less than 350 Euro (see http://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/OffersOfProduct/947901_-g900-sony-ericsson.html for example). Seems to be a good deal!

For those comparing with the Samsung G810: read that review too!
- Xenon flash? Sounds great, but irl very dissapointing
- Cool design? maybe but weighs twice as much
- Cool design again? The Samsung looks like a huuuuuuge brick
- Quality? Japanese/Swedish versys Korean? Place your bets!
If you ask me, the SE is for the Business men wanting more then a usual phone. The Samsung is for 13 year old girls, who want to show off on the playground...

G900 have nice features and more business-like design, unlike chineese-toy-like Nokia. Also Nokia has disarrange their menus in latest phones, looks like they try to do toy-for-all.
I was long time with Nokia smartphone, liked many features, but my next phone will be SE.

Big disappointment from this preview. The specs are great, but the execution is lacking. I've been with SE for a long time but, after the horribly plasticky W960 and now this half-arsed job, for my next phone it's looking like I'll jump ship to Samsung's G810
