Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra long-term review

I have had a P30 Lite since 2016 and haven't had a problem with it, however, I am now considering upgrading to a Note 20 Ultra as it has recently become available at one of the service providers in SA. Considering that it has Recieved its final Update (Android 13 UI5) is it advisable to take this phone on contract for the next 2 years? Budget is limited and it's looking really good - internally and externally. Will it hold up for the next 2 years?

Adnan, 29 Sep 2023I feel note 20 ultra screen is much brighter and has dull c... moreI just changed from a Note 9 to the 20 Ultra, and colors and contrast on the 20 are not quite as good as the 9 (or even my older Note 8). Vivid mode and other adjustments cannot get the the 20 to equal the 9.

After my note9 I thought I had all till I got this favorable smart phone which is everything I ever got in phone am so proud of Samsung especially note series

It's so great at everything even today that I'm not looking to upgrade for once in my life. The 1tb extended memory really does it for me.

It is waste... moreWow i was having that overheating, wobbly screen, battery drain, needing to charge x2 daily on occasion also. did thort time 4 new ph, BUT if Ssung note still doing at 20 range mite just pass. Cost 2k plus in NZ, soooo, maybe nd to give other brands my money. Thanks for your review. V Helpful

Have not had one issue with my Note 20 Ultra 5G, in fact bought two, now updated to Android 12. For those complaining about it not being a Snapdragon just remember for most of the world the Snapdragon has incorrect 5G modem for UK, EU, Asia and Australia, New Zealand.

I've got mine back when it launched in 2020 and I have not had any issues with it and is still a fast as day one.

I would rate Note 20 ultra 5g just 0 out of 10. It is waste of money to buy such phone which is completely useless with the name of waterproof phone. I have moisture and fogg inside the camera, My flashlight keeps on without even turning on. And to cap it all, Green screen issue. Ya I can't see anything on the screen screen seems off but all the time it shows which or green screen. Phone heats too much all the time.
My sister had samsung so plus which had same issues.
Now In future I will never buy samsung phones. Also I will not recommend this phone to anyone.
I will prefer apple phones instead of samsung....
Such a rubbish phone.

Just like all of my S8+, S9, S10+, and my Note 10, the Note 20 Ultra's middle touch screen just quit working. Sucks because I don't believe I have a warranty on it and it is my favorite phone!

But both of phones battery drains too fast !

Solun1, 13 Feb 2021That phone is truly fantastic. Battery lfie is fine, not su... moreNow that the S22 Ultra is out, it's nearly exactly the same as the Note20 Ultra so we're fine with our Note20 Ultra :).
And, for others, it's amazing on Android 12. Incredibly smooth. No issues at all, no lag, no bugs, so far.
Just wish Samsung would tone down that high contrast and high sharpness in the main camera sensor, and to have a better fingerprint sensor or put it on the side like with the S10e and Sony Xperia phones.

Has anybody come accross sudden display going dead black,non responsive.It has happened twice with me within one year warrenty period.On e I.was successful to force restart and boot the phone.Second time now my phone display is dead,non responsive.What to do?I am totally annoyed and dissatisfied with this costly phone.
