GSMArena really needs to put the writer's name at the bottom/top of every article.

That way we know who is reviewing / writing about which hardware and then we can skip/avoid/check out as required, the writers who slant like a slope instead of staying objective or just stick to the facts.

Not saying anything about this particular article, if you have to ask then you should already know. But as a phone review type of website with a decent amount of traffic, stand by your creation with your name on the page and put your money where you mouth is.

The review does seem like it was done by an Apple fanboy.
I have iPhone 7 and iPhone 12 Pro. There is basically no visible difference. OLED did not make it look better and apple somehow thought that making screen yellow is the best thing ever. The only thing that is better in iPhone 12 Pro is resolution. But, i have Xperia Z2 and Xiaomi Mi 8, they both look brilliant even tho, they are not "retina" screens. You're just repeating what apple marketing says without thinking.
Also battery. Im abit dissapointed. ip12pro cant handle 2 days (no games, no sms, just few phone checks), while Mi8 has no problem stepping into day 3 WITH Always-on-display.
The camera. So far experience is not that great as you make it look. It just can't handle motion. The camera is just a little bit better than the one on the Mi8.
The stainless-steel frame. NO, it is by far not a "luxury looking" thing, it looks more like a cheap bling (which it is, as its much cheaper than aluminium). Few days later, i started seeming micro scratches on it. All ive been doing is putting in, and out of my pocket. The brushed aluminum would be much better.
Face ID. Good for portrait mode only. I can't belieave nobody inside apple thought that landscape face ID is actually needed.
NO fingerprint. It was on an iPhone7, i had no idea they removed it. I thought ip12pro had it when i was buying it. The Mi8 finger scanner is awesome, all it needed was a second one at the front. ip7 scanner is also good, i really like it.
Speed.. i can't feel the speed as modern devices tend to have long animations while doing just about everything.

            So to sum up.
Apple really spent much less on production costs while keeping the prices high. They also downgraded their phones just so they can "upgrade" them year or 2 later, for an extra $$$ of course.

Anonymous, 12 Feb 2021Apple is still not more then just a hype. The fact you actually believe that is insane.

Say "I don't like Apple" like a man and move on instead of making up obvious bullshit.

              Get over yourself.

When the company dominate consumer, is always bad for consumer. Company laugh all the way to the bank while ppl getting less and less in return.

I wouldn't pick Xiaomi over Apple solely due to software - Xiaomi's Android implementation is really bad.

Enjoyed using the recent fruit phones. Experience, I swapped a 6s for a Samsung Note FE because the 6s's build quality was piss poor; the mute switch became loose after a month of usage and the screen was meh. The Note was much more premium in all aspects but system performance.

Switched back to iPhone last year and was very satisfied except the screen again (828p LCD). Now for a reason, Samsungs are getting less reliable these days. I have the S20 FE, screen may be 120Hz but is useless because of the touchscreen issue. Replacing the screen didn't help, so I might just sell it for cheap. The iPhone is just fine.

These days the fruit logo is a very premium ecosystem. Apple has gone a long way from making some of the worst phones on the market.

ithehappy, 12 Feb 2021So let me get this straight- If I want to share a photo/ sc... moreNo, for some reason as much as I love this review, this description for the file management/sharing sounds very convoluted. If I want to share something on WhatsApp for example, I just hit the share option, there’s suggested contacts like on android then the last of apps I want to share it to, hit WhatsApp and its then the normal WhatsApp interface to choose a contact and add a message.

Also, whilst the files app still needs a lot of work, it still has the ability to Zip/Unzip files, Access SMB file servers, external drive support and can access multiple cloud store apps from within it, such as OneDrive, Google Drive. I often drag and drop from my iCloud to my work drive if I’ve had a video that needs sending on teams.

I never want an iPhone to be any Android phone. I just want the next iPhone with open NFC, open bluetooth and fingerprint scanner (the last one because I face covid 19 still)

someone, 12 Feb 2021i can't use this device more than a day. for me, usin... moreWell said!

So let me get this straight- If I want to share a photo/ screenshot/ pdf/ any other file with someone through WhatsApp or Telegram or email, I need to go their respective apps and share from there? And in the process there will be a separate copy of them made, like every time I share them?

Not sure whether this is a joke or real. Someone please clarify. I intend to move to iPhone 12 this year. The file management system IS the biggest joke for me, have been since forever though.
