Anonymous, 26 Mar 2021It doesn't the A52 is a lower midranger while the a 20... moreYes, it is in a lower tier.

I actually moved from an S20 FE 4G to the A52. Funny? But for me it was a real upgrade -
    1. Much better battery life. My FE used to die by the afternoon.

    2. No overheating problems. The FE overheats very easily with common applications like Maps, Zoom and Teams.

    3. A 3.5mm Jack! I have a very good wired headset that I use for calls. With the A52, I can use it without the irritating dongle.

One thing noone mentioned is the lack of video recording at 1080p and 60fps.. i prefer this instead of 4k 30fps

Hmmm... when I look at the pixel-binned 16MP photos, it somehow reminds me of the 10MP PureView camera of the Nokia Lumia 830. It's not exactly that identical, but it's somewhat nearly there.

Chintu, 30 Mar 2021This one is all in one phone, for which I was waiting since... moreThe one con I can find after using it for a week is the size. That is subjective for sure but it has a bright side too, the battery life is amazing. I had 5h screen-on-time at 50% charge and I had it fully charged 2 days ago. I use it in 60Hz but even for that it's amazing.

Now, the fingerprint reader has improved alot and I only use it for banking apps and pw managers. It's still not perfect because it's in the display. That would technically be a con as well. But for what it is, it works well.

Tell me specific cons (other than mentioned by gsmarena(which are not realistic)) and I m ready to change my mind as per your choices (forget chep Chinese please)

There different categories of buyers also with flagship features

This one has IP ratings + OIS + good fast charging + latest UI +
@half price of flagship with half processor speed compared to flagship

So, yeah whatever they are smoking, it's flagship as stated above

Slint, 29 Mar 2021This phone or Pixel 4a? Which one has better camera? Thank you. With nearly same Antutu benchmark,
Galaxy A52 is way ahead in terms of battery, IP rating, refresh rate, in display FP
And yes also in terms of camera

There are many other things also matters, other that camera

Rest upto you, both are good, you will not regret for anyone

If I were you, I always go with latest, Galaxy A52

Hi. Just purchased the A52 samsung lte version. Feeling around the frame of the phone it does not feel solid as previous fones do. The frame feels creaky and flimsy. Wanna know if any1 else has experienced the same as this is a ip67 rated. Frame i think should be solid and not flimsy or creaky.

Wongwatt, 28 Mar 2021If you like stock Android you'll hate anything Samsung... moreIf you like stock android, then you practically have no taste at all. Samsung's skin are always way forward compared to barebones Android. Touchwiz introduced wayback in 2013 the concept of split screen apps.

It took pure android like 4-5 years to catch up to that.

All of those specs, PLUS 3 years of Android updates, I will really have to consider Samsung for my next phone purchase. I used to buy old LG flagships - that looks like it's not going to be an option any more. I tried my first 1+ phone (7t) and am thoroughly underwhelmed (LG's performance was WAY more consistent than 1+). And 1+ looks like it's only going further into the gutter with its new strategies (less features and updates for higher prices). Not a lot of options left, at least here in the States and 3 Android updates is a seriously big deal
