I bought Asus 5z, after reading such stellar reviews. It's camera stopped working one fine day and Asus dint care to fix it. Even now you can google to find many users complaining on camera not focusing issue in forums for Asus 5z.

Why oh why in this comment section I see so many radical evangelists whp needs to being this perfectly capable phone down by throwing misinformations and hoaxes? What even amaze me, these evangelists even happily work without being paid at all. Night and day. Almost 24/7. On multiple websites' comment sections and forums.
I just don't want Asus to become another LG that shuts down because of disinformations, hoaxes, and misguides potential customers to another brand that's just...you know...

It's interesting how different review sites have completely different takes. GSMA is very complimentary of the camera but most other review sites are calling it "just okay" or bad.
Is it just me or does every single photo look soft across the board?

Except wireless charging, OIS, SD card slot.
This review is very biased, like it was written by an Asus fanboy. It's an impressive little phone for sure, but it certainly doesn't have "literally everything".

Great phone! Can't wait to play with this.. btw I would loved to see a lite version. With a new 700 series soc or even a 860/870 and reduced price of course.

Fahreddin Kaya, 13 May 2021First of all this phone is not compact sized or mini phone,... more33w but its power delivery standard, means you can pick any charger anywhere with power delivery and it will fast charge, some companies have higher wattage charger but they are proprietary and expnesive, you wont be able to use those charger to charge other phone. i lost my oneplus and now my dash charger only output 0.5A.
according to anandtech and Gsmarena this phone do have OIS,

If practicality over gimmicks had a name, it's be called Zenfone 8.
I'm really glad it doesn't have so called wireless charging. It's not only about lack of space, but also the increase in price. And it offers nothing except a fake sense of wireless charging. And anybody who disagrees with me can sure list the benefits of wireless charging, if they can find any. The fake psychological convenience that it offers is not worth paying a cent.
And it's amazing to see Apple fans have the audacity to nitpick about this phone, when iphone in 2021 is still stuck with 60 hz display, ugly notch, unergonomic design,

And S7 had mega bezels to make room for everything, it's a huge 5.1" device with today's standards so I don't get your comparison.
If you want three cameras buy s21, 26mm Vs 29mm is quite small difference in focal length.
Sure 50mm would be nice but phone would probably cost more.
